The Republic of the Philippines, or simply the Philippines, is made up of more than 7,000 islands in the Western Pacific. The beautiful country is equally known for its postcard-perfect beaches and its historic attractions, like Binondo (it’s centuries-old Chinatown) and the 17th-century San Agustin Church. The Philippines has a little something for everyone, whether you’re looking for pure relaxation or a little bit of adventure. Check out our top tours to the Philippines below.

Philippines in January: Weather, Crowds and More
Philippines in January: Weather, Crowds and More
The picture-postcard beauty of the Philippines truly comes alive in January. The weather is pleasant and there is a low chance of rainfall—perfect setup for sightseeing, beach visits and outdoor activities. The only downside (if you can call it that) is that popular destinations and activities are crowded, as January is part of the peak tourist season. So if you are planning a tour to the Philippines in January, book your trip and accommodations in advance.
Philippines in February: Weather, Attractions and More
Philippines in February: Weather, Attractions and More
Beaches brimming with vibrant activities, landscapes at their most lush and great weather — the Philippines in February is the most scenic of all months. No wonder this is the peak travel month when everything is all go. Tourist hotspots are busier than ever and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, such as swimming, surfing and hiking. Whether you want to explore the urban cities of Manila and Cebu or spend some time in the popular islands of Palawan and Coron, February is the perfect time to tour the Philippines.
The Philippines in March: Weather, Events and More
The Philippines in March: Weather, Events and More
A trip to the Philippines in March makes for a busy time as the country enters the high travel season. It’s going to be quite hot and humid for daytime sightseeing, so it’s best to plan your tours before noon or closer to the evening. Set aside the afternoon time for beach-lounging and water sports. Popular tourist destinations like Nido, Boracay and Cebu are particularly crowded around this time. To escape the tourist hordes and high temperature, head to the mountains in North Luzon.
Philippines in April: Weather, Activities and More
Philippines in April: Weather, Activities and More
From attending the Boracay International Dragon Boat Festival in North Cotabato to joining a whale shark sighting excursion in Donsol and beach-lounging in El Nodo, visitors can enjoy tons of coastal adventures in the Philippines in April. This is also the time of the year to have the last holiday hurrah under the clear sunny skies before the wet season kicks off in May. Furthermore, there are several festivals and events to look forward to in April. The only caveat of taking a Philippines trip in April is that popular destinations are more crowded and expensive than usual.

Great experience

I really enjoyed my time on the trip. It was a good mixture of planned activities and free time to explore on you own. Planned activities are the main activities most people do which was nice while free time gave you option of other things you’d want to do. It was also nice that the planned activities were almost always private tours for just our group so we weren’t with huge groups of people.

Beautiful sights

It was a great experience - my tour guide Jiear was so kind and organised, he really made the trip the best it could be. Really good for a newbie solo traveller as had a good mix of solo time, activities and other bits and bobs.

this is your sign - book the tour!

Alvin our tour guide is truly a beautiful soul, from the moment he greeted me with a heart warming hug, I instantly felt welcomed, being 32 I was hesitant about doing a group tour however my experience with Alvin and my group was truly a wonderful experience. Alvin is organised, prepared, knowledgeable, personable and I’m walking away from this experience feeling I now have one big family! Alvin’s pre preparation made the trip such a breeze, allowing everyone to completely relax knowing everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering visiting the Philippines, especially if you are wanting to travel and share experiences with like minded people.

Brilliant tour and guide

I was initially nervous about joining a group tour, thinking it might be mostly 18–20-year-olds, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a great mix of friendly, welcoming people in their mid-twenties to early thirties – helped massively by our amazing tour leader, Alvin! Most things were included in the cost, and any extras felt completely optional, which was great. The itinerary was well-balanced, with days of other activities between island-hopping Alvin was outstanding – informative, organised, fun, and full of energy. He was clearly respected by everyone we met, and he went above and beyond by arranging group dinners and transport, even when it wasn’t required. Anyone lucky enough to have Alvin as their tour leader is in for an incredible experience!

  • While the Philippines is a safe country to visit overall, there are some areas that are unsafe for tourists due to a high military presence, terrorism and other violent crimes. Research areas before you visit, stick to tourist areas and generally avoid the southern region of the country.
