day 1 - Oslo Arrival

Welcome to Oslo – the capital city of Norway, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage! Upon arrival in Oslo, you will make your own way to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure or you can explore the city on your own.

day 2 - Oslo

After breakfast in the morning, explore the Norwegian capital, Oslo, on your own. Visit Frogner Park with Vigeland's sculptures, the Fram Museum, the Royal Palace, and City Hall. You can also see the famous Holmenkollen Ski Jump for a great view of the city and the fjord. If you want to see the city by bus, you can join the optional Oslo Panorama tour. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Walk around and explore the city's main street, Karl Johan’s Street, which has many shops, bars, and cafes. If you want to explore more places, we recommend getting a 24-hour Oslo Pass, which gives you free travel on public transport and entrance to most of the city’s museums: Akershus Castle, Oslo City Hall, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Munch Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Nobel Peace Center, and more.

day 3 - Oslo – FlÅm

Enjoy a delicious breakfast then meet your tour escort and walk to the train station to board a train bound for Myrdal (Possible train departures: 06:25 and 08:25 (subject to availability). Myrdal station is a mountain railway station and junction located about 13 km from the village of Flåm. Here, you will transfer to the famous Flåmsbana, one of the steepest train lines in the world. The journey takes you through stunning landscapes, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, and through 20 tunnels, offering so many viewpoints that many travelers feel like taking the trip multiple times between the mountain and the fjord. Upon arrival in Flåm, walk to the hotel and check in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure or explore this wonderful place.

day 4 - FlÅm

After breakfast, you will experience the Nærøyfjord in its full winter glory. The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep mountains with snow-covered peaks reaching up to 1800 meters above sea level. Waterfalls cascade down the mountains, and picturesque villages dot the landscape. This area is featured on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is considered one of the world's most beautiful fjord landscapes. Your Fjord Cruise trip begins in Flåm, and the round trip combines a cruise with a shuttle bus that will bring you back to your starting point.

Optional: Excursion to the Stegastein Viewpoint (1.5hrs.)
An unmissable sightseeing trip for any visitor to Flåm. Take a bus from Flåm via Aurland to the extraordinary and spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint. This structure juts out 30 meters from the mountainside, 650 meters above the fjord, and offers an unparalleled panorama. It’s hard to imagine a more amazing view of the fjord, mountains, and surrounding landscape. The Stegastein Viewpoint is part of the Norwegian Scenic Route that runs from Aurland to Lærdal, popularly known as “The Snow Road.” Designed by Todd Saunders and Tommie Wilhelmsen, the viewpoint was completed in 2006.

day 5 - FlÅm To Bergen

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, check out and take a final stroll through the frozen village, or you can join our optional snowshoe tour to experience the stunning morning light from high above the fjord. Then, depart by train for Bergen, the UNESCO World Heritage City and gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a European City of Culture, Bergen offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and vibrant urban life throughout the year.

Optional: Snowshoe Excursion with Stegastein Viewpoint (2.3hrs.)
Experience the beautiful morning light from high above the fjord! the trip begins with a minibus ride along the Aurlandfjord, taking you up to the spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint, 650 meters above sea level. Along the way, your local guide will share insights about life on the mountain farms you pass, and you will see places where it seems almost impossible for people to live.

Upon arrival, you will be introduced to the art of walking on snowshoes and learn about their history. As you explore, the guide will tell you about the dramatic nature, winter by the fjord, and the unique culture of the area. You will have several opportunities to enjoy breathtaking views of the fjord below, the tiny village of Undredal, Flåm, and the snow-capped mountain tops surrounding the fjord. At the turning point, you will be served hot beverages and can take in the serene beauty of the area. There will be plenty of photo opportunities. The hike will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Before returning to Flåm, the bus will make a stop at the Stegastein Viewpoint.

Notes: Warm clothing/layers are recommended. This activity is not suitable for children under 6 years old.

day 6 - Bergen

After breakfast, it’s time to explore Bergen on your own! Wander through the vibrant fish market and savor some fresh seafood at this renowned spot. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, the Church of Mary, Hakon Fortress, and the famous fish market. Don’t miss the chance to ride the spectacular Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you to the top of Mount Fløyen for a panoramic view of the city.

The Fløibanen Funicular in Bergen is one of Norway’s most famous attractions. Located in the heart of Bergen, it is just 150 meters from Fisketorget (the fish market) and the Bryggen wharf. The lower station is a 10-minute walk from where the cruise ships dock. The ride up to Fløyen, 320 meters above sea level, takes approximately 5 to 8 minutes.

Join our round-trip cruise from Bergen through spectacular fjord scenery. This fantastic tour takes you along the 27-kilometer-long Osterfjord. As you cruise, the fjord narrows between steep mountains, and we navigate through the powerful currents of the shallow and narrow Mostraumen strait. On this Bergen–Mostraumen fjord cruise, we will sail the boat right up to a waterfall, allowing you to sample a bucket of ice-cold mountain water before we turn back and return to Bergen through the breathtaking landscape. The boat features sundecks and kiosks offering refreshments, including beer and wine.

If you are a fit and experienced cross-country skier the hotel offers ski safaris on selected dates - the ski safaris are suitable for advanced skiers only; payable locally, subject to minimum numbers. You can also try dog sledding, snowshoeing or go on a torch-lit, horse-drawn sleigh ride (payable locally). The hotel also offers yoga, pilates and mindfulness classes along with sports and relaxation massages.
