Honest insights from past guests on our Bicycle Mexico tours

Loved it! A fantastic tour with a good mixture of cycling, sightseeing and culture as well as sampling culinary delights. Each day was full of activities and education. Arturo was an amazing guide - very friendly, patient and a great leader. Our drivers Lugo and Jose were also great. Such a fun and memorable trip with a great multinational group.

This was my first Explore trip, my first holiday in Mexico, and my first organised cycling holiday. It was fantastic. We had a great group of people and our local leader & driver were excellent. So many highlights, I wish the holiday had lasted longer. We visited places that I wouldn't have seen if I'd organised the holiday myself. The busy schedule was so well organised by the Explore team that I didn't have to worry about the details and I could just enjoy myself. I want to go back asap!

A wonderful place to go and a full itinerary made sure we saw the best of it. Explore made sure everything went well, and I would have no hesitation in using them again. A top trip.

A varied and interesting trip with lots of points of interest. Tour leader Artero and bus driver Miguel were excellent. Whilst cycling is leisurely, it could do with being broken up into smaller sections and cycling to a point of interest rather than just along a long straight road.

The riding was generally poor. Riding along roads littered with rubbish and communal dumps. The ride to Isla Mujeres was great and the beach beautiful. The ride to Telchac was not seafront. You couldn’t see the ocean until we got to Telchac which was a fairly ordinary village and an uninviting beach that no one wanted to swim at. The biosphere was disappointing as there were no crocodiles. Valladolid was good. It would have been good to seem more of Tulum even an introductory drive though the town. It would have been good if the tour could have included some snorkelling. The beaches at Playa del Carmen were very disappointing- small and covered in smelly seaweed. I was told there was an option for an electric bike which I paid extra for but when I arrived there tour guide advised they don’t have electric bikes. The tour seemed like a general tour but they dropped you 40 km from the destination on littered back roads with nothing to see so it becomes a biking tour. The tour guide was great, full of knowledge and very helpful.
