It’s very rushed. One night in each hotel and needing to re-pack suitcases at 7 am everyday and be back in the bus very early was a lot of work. Kind of stressful, actually. Tough to get a feel for the lifestyle of the locals. I didn’t really have a conversation with an Irish person with the exception of a few servers/bartenders.

The most scenic part of Ireland is the Dingle Peninsula. However , we weren’t given ample time to enjoy the scenery . It was a Bit of a rush.

There is a lot to see and do in a short amount of time so the schedule is jammed packed. The natural landscapes were awe inspiring, the people were welcoming, and food was great. Some hotels did not offer air conditioning.

Most local specialists are very good. I was disappointed with optional jaunting ride as it was not a traditional cart, but a wagon and driver on his phone instead of sharing insight about the area. Manor West Hotel, Tralee, was wonderful. The Dean in Cork had mattresses that seemed to be resting on broken orange crates. But had an excellent salmon dinner there. Charming server. Very thankful for dinner as Cork restaurants and pubs were full.

I felt there was a lot of optional events that I had to pay for. Too much shopping if you didn't do the optional.

It was a lovely experience. We loved every day. The food, the guide , driver . Several additional stops were added and they became highlights for our trip.

You get to do SO much without feeling just rushed from activity to activity! It was an amazing way to see Southern Ireland for the first time while feeling safe and not having to worry about driving around Ireland!

Itinerary was disappointing. Extra excursions of no interest. Not value for money. Tour director didn’t provide enough information in advance re each day. Trafalgar website needs more information such as airport drop off point in Dublin airport. This helps with booking onward travel or providing information on terminal transfers. Not when you are dropped off. This lack of communication meant I had to book again

We had the most amazing time. Our tour director, made it the most memorable trip. We really enjoyed seeing the Dingle Peninsula. The extra stops and additional excursions were so special. We saw so many exciting places and had such diverse experiences. I would recommend this trip to everyone. My 11 year old wants to go back, too.

Great, short little trip across Ireland. Definitely busy, but got to see so many things in a short time. Well worth it!

AnonymousOn Aug 15, 2025

The trip was fast paced but gave enough time at each stop for either lunch or shopping. Ireland in the summer is extremely busy which did affect some of the attractions but it was still enjoyable. Dean hotel in Cork was awful, room was so small and cramped. Food was average. We felt trafalgar has begun rebranded to more of a value tour company which is disappointing considering the cost of the trip. No treats or acknowledgement/small gifts for returning guests. Our driver was fantastic and TD was good.

The Treasures of Ireland tour was informative and the optional experiences were great with one exception - the Walking Tour at Cork. I wouldn't book that one again. The others were wonderful.

So much to do and see in Ireland! The trip was short to fit into my busy schedule, but still allowed me to get in a lot of sights.
