Welcome to Tanzania! Once you have arrived at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the Arusha City Centre.

day 2 - Arusha — Tarangire National Park
Enjoy a leisurely morning with optional activities before your safari briefing and lunch at the hotel. Afterward, depart Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park. As you leave the city, the scenery transforms into vast plains dotted with traditional grass-thatched huts and children tending to livestock, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Valley. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it and is known for its large herds of elephants and diverse wildlife. day 3 - Tarangire National Park — Lake Manyara
Start your day with a thrilling morning game drive followed by lunch at the lodge. Then, set out for Lake Manyara National Park, where you'll arrive at your lodge adjacent to the park for dinner and an overnight stay. Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake, is the park's centerpiece, which spans 330 square kilometers and boasts a rich array of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, baboons, and various antelope species. The park is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and is a haven for bird enthusiasts, with over 400 species recorded, such as flamingos, pelicans, storks, and raptors. day 4 - Lake Manyara -- Serengeti National Park
Start your day with an exciting morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, then head back to the lodge for lunch. Next, travel to Serengeti National Park, passing through the Naabi Gate, which marks the entrance to this iconic park. Enjoy game viewing on your way to the lodge, where you'll arrive in time for dinner and an overnight stay. Serengeti National Park, covering around 14,750 square kilometers, is renowned for its vast savannahs, rich wildlife, and the awe-inspiring annual wildebeest migration. The park is home to the \"Big Five\"—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinoceroses, and Cape buffaloes—along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and numerous other animals. The migration, involving over a million wildebeest and other herbivores, is one of the most remarkable natural phenomena on earth. The Maasai people, who have lived in the region for centuries, also call this park home, maintaining their traditional lifestyles. Optional: Shared Hot Air Balloon Safari
EARLY MORNING
This is the ultimate way to view wildlife in Africa. You will be woken before dawn and then driven in the shared vehicle of the balloon company to the balloon staging area, often a remote location. You are provided a safety briefing by the pilot as the crew inflates the envelope. Taking off as the sun rises, you will drift quietly above plains, rivers and forests while gazing at spectacular scenery and with luck, take some incredible photographs. The flight is approximately one hour and gives a ‘birds-eye’ experience to game-watching which many find to be the climax of their safari. On landing in the middle of nowhere there will be a shared full bush-style breakfast set up served with Champagne, with a table decked in silver cutlery, fresh Kenyan coffee, tea and fruits. It is a truly magical experience.
Special hints:
CLOTHING
Flat comfortable shoes should be worn. A jacket, sweater or fleece which can be easily removed during the flight as the sun warms up the air is ideal. Sun hats & sun glasses are also recommended.
CAMERAS
If you have a choice of lenses carry both the wide angle & telephoto. You should be familiar with your cameras setting for low light as take-off is at sunrise. Carry enough batteries and storage & a camera bag to put in your equipment when landing. Video cameras are great & binoculars invaluable for game watching. Hot Air Balloons are very photogenic.
day 6 - Serengeti National Park -- Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart the lodge and enjoy a game drive as you travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a picnic lunch served along the way. As you traverse the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the village of Karatu, you'll arrive at your lodge for a leisurely afternoon. Relax, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated wildlife regions in the world, home to approximately 30,000 animals. This area is also inhabited by the Maasai people, who maintain their traditional lifestyle amid stunning landscapes such as the Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, and Empakai Crater. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is renowned for its exceptional wildlife safaris and outdoor adventures.

day 7 - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, set out early for a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Enjoy a game drive in this extraordinary wildlife haven, where the compact area of 102 square miles is home to over 30,000 mammals, offering excellent opportunities to spot all of the Big Five. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot within the crater. In the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and continue to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

day 8 - Ngorongoro Crater — Arusha (departure) —
For those who rise early, a stunning sunrise over the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater awaits. After breakfast, depart the lodge and start your journey back to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch (drinks not included). Afterward, you'll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your departure flight.
