Have you ever wondered how Tequila or Mezcal are made? The production of these two beverages is based on artisanal methods. Both tequila and mezcal are obtained from the fermentation and distillation of agave; however, the type of maguey used varies from one beverage to another. In the case of tequila, blue agave is used, while for mezcal, different species of agave can be used.
Your first big step in Mexico City will be to visit the Tequila and Mezcal Museum (MUTEM). Here, you will enjoy a cultural space with exhibitions, concerts, presentations of Mexican distillates, and gastronomy. You will learn about the products resulting from the distillation processes of the different varieties of agave in Mexico. During the museum tour, tequila and mezcal tastings will be offered for you to try these authentic Mexican beverages.

Because of this, it is a must-see tour if you are visiting Mexico City. Depending on the date you visit this incredible place, you can find festivals, exhibitions, and shows.

It created a civilization that became one of the most powerful cultural sites in Mesoamerica. Teotihuacan was one of the largest urban centres of the ancient world, with a population of more than one hundred thousand inhabitants at its peak of splendor.
This tour also includes a visit to the mural painting district, where you will visit four spaces where the living areas of the ancient groups of inhabitants of this ancient city were located. These places are the architectural complexes known as Tetitla, Tepantitla, Atetelco, and La Ventilla. You will find walls and floors decorated with pre-Columbian pictorial creations on this tour. In these fresco paintings, the Teotihuacanos left testimony of their daily activities, their way of life, their thoughts, and beliefs, through which you can have elements to imagine what life was like in what is considered the first Mesoamerican city.
After finishing the tour of the murals in the old neighborhoods of Teotihuacan, our team will take you to an impressive local workshop of Mexican products made from prickly pear cactus, nopal, and xoconostle to end the day. Here you will learn how these foods are used and their properties, contribute to the local community, and buy something you like! Learn how to make salsa!
On our way back, we will continue to have a late lunch at the restaurant “Monte Cristo,” where its style and structure combine to give an old Mexican atmosphere where delicious dishes of Mexican cuisine are brought to life.
