Northern Europe’s allure unfolds on the 18-day 'Northern Dream' tour, beginning and ending in Berlin. Designed for senior travelers seeking an easy-paced yet enriching experience, this group trip weaves together vibrant cities, cultural landmarks, and scenic landscapes. With comfortable accommodations and guided excursions, you’ll enjoy a relaxed tempo that lets you savor every highlight. The standout aspect? day 1 - Berlin

Welcome to your tour with Europamundo! We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

day 2 - Berlin

Immerse yourself in the local culture with a guided panoramic tour of Berlin, the captivating capital of Germany. We’ll see the historic center, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the shopping streets and the city’s beautiful parks. Our visit will also include stops at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum. For an optional excursion, you can visit Potsdam and its stunning palaces.

day 3 - Berlin, Copenhagen

Enjoy some free time in Berlin. At 11:30 a. m. , we’ll depart from the German capital and head north. In Rostock, we’ll board a ferry, scheduled to depart at 03:30 p. m. The Baltic Sea crossing to Denmark will take nearly two hours. Relish the cruise on this modern ship. Upon arrival in Denmark, we’ll travel through scenic landscapes, reaching Copenhagen by the end of the day.

day 4 - Copenhagen

In the morning, we’ll enjoy a panoramic city tour with a local guide of the Danish capital, known for its exceptional quality of life, commitment to sustainability and rich cultural life. We’ll see The Little Mermaid, Nyhavn harbor with its colorful historic buildings, the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, home to the Danish royal family, the Town Hall Square, and the Tivoli Park area. You’ll also have free time to explore at your leisure.

day 5 - Copenhagen, Jönköping, Vadstena, Stockholm

We’ll depart and head towards ELSINORE, the city of Hamlet, where the majestic Kronborg Castle stands. We’ll then take a short ferry ride to SWEDEN, which will take about 20 minutes. We’ll travel through beautiful landscapes featuring large lakes and lush forests until we reach JÖNKÖPING, a modern, small city located beside a large lake, where you’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch. Our journey will continue to VADSTENA, a picturesque town by the lake known for its old houses and a grand 14thcentury castle that was converted into a monastery. We’ll continue to STOCKHOLM, the capital of SWEDEN, arriving in the evening. This beautiful city, set in the BALTIC SEA archipelago, is connected by numerous bridges and ferries. Known for its rich history, impressive architecture, and perfect blend of modernity and tradition, STOCKHOLM promises a unique and captivating experience.

day 6 - Stockholm

Today we’ll embark on a panoramic tour of this beautiful capital city, built on 14 interconnected islands. We’ll visit Gamla Stan, also known as the “the city between bridges”, the lively old quarter filled with monumental buildings such as the Nobel Prize Museum, located right beside the main square of Stortorget which honors Nobel Prize winners, the Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we’ll enjoy the stunning views from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Afterwards, you’ll have leisure time to explore. We recommend visiting the museums and parks. Optionally, you can visit the City Hall and the Vasa Museum.

day 7 - Stockholm, Stockholm - Turku Ferry

Enjoy a free day in Stockholm. In the evening, we’ll board a modern ferry for an overnight journey to Finland. Accommodation will be in double ensuite cabins.

day 8 - Stockholm - Turku Ferry, Naantali, Helsinki

As we arrive in Finland, we recommend heading to the ship’s deck for sunrise to enjoy the mesmerizing landscapes as we sail past the Åland Islands, a collection of hundreds of forested islands. After disembarking the ferry, you’ll have time to explore Turku, a city with a strong Swedish influence. We’ll then continue our journey to the neighboring city of Naantali, a picturesque town with charming wooden houses by the sea. Our travels will take us to Helsinki, where we’ll arrive around lunchtime. In the afternoon, you’ll have leisure time to explore the city, including its old market, Russianinfluenced buildings, and beautiful churches.

day 9 - Helsinki, Helsinki - Tallinn Ferry, Tallinn

We’ll embark on an included boat trip to the SUOMENLINNA ISLANDS, six islands home to a magnificent fortress that once protected the city’s entrance and is now a World Heritage Site. Take some time to explore, crossing the islands via pedestrian bridges. In the afternoon, we’ll board a ferry to ESTONIA, a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes. As we depart from Helsinki, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding islands. In the evening, we’ll arrive in TALLINN. Note: On some occasions, the transfer to the Suomenlinna islands will take place on Thursday afternoon.

day 10 - Tallinn

The capital of Estonia is a wonderful city that has preserved its medieval core intact. You´ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, its walls, churches, squares, and its medieval streets filled with tourist attractions. Free time in the afternoon.

day 11 - Tallinn, Parnu, Turaida, Sigulda, Salaspils, Riga

We’ll travel through forests and plains to reach Parnu, a popular seaside resort. From there, we’ll continue to Latvia. You can enjoy an included lunch just before visiting the medieval Turaida Castle (admission included) surrounded by a large park with sculptures. Next, you can take a walk in Sigulda, a small and charming town situated amidst a beautiful landscape. Our journey will continue towards Riga, with a stop at the Salaspils Memorial, located at the site of a former concentration camp from the Nazi period. Since 1967, it has been one of the largest monumental complexes in Europe, commemorating the victims of this regime. We’ll arrive in Riga in the evening.

day 12 - Riga

You’ll enjoy an included panoramic tour of this capital, the most populous city in the Baltic states, where traces of the Soviet era are still visible. Riga is renowned not only for its cultural center but also for its medieval Historic Center and Art Nouveau architecture. The afternoon will be free for you to explore at your leisure.

day 13 - Riga, Rundale, Vilnius

We’ll depart for Lithuania early in the morning. On our way there, we’ll visit the Baroque Palace of Rundale, built by the same architect who designed the Saint Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. We’ll cross over into Lithuania. This country has a strong Catholic influence, highlighted by the impressive Hill of Crosses, with thousands of crosses of all sizes. Lunch will be included along our route. Afterwards, we’ll visit Trakai, a gorgeous castle located on an island in a lake, close to Vilnius. We’ll finish the day in Vilnius. Note: Depending on the duration of daylight, the visit to Trakai may take place on Wednesday after exploring the city.

day 14 - Vilnius

We’ll begin with a panoramic tour of the city built on seven hills, often compared to Rome. You’ll discover its Baroque churches, historic walls, grand castle, bustling commercial streets in the center, and 1,200 medieval houses. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore at your leisure.

day 15 - Vilnius, Grutas Park, Augustów, Warsaw

We’ll continue our journey to Poland. Our first stop will be Grutas Park, also known as “Stalin’s World,” which features 86 statues from the Soviet era. We’ll then stop for lunch in the charming lakeside town of Augustów. Afterward, we’ll head to central Poland, arriving in Warsaw by the end of the day.

day 16 - Warsaw, Poznan

In the morning, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a local guide. This city of nearly two million people, Poland’s political and economic hub, is both classic and modern, traditional and cosmopolitan, continually reborn. We’ll explore the charming Old Town, with its historic buildings, Royal Palace, and cobblestone streets, all beautifully restored after their destruction in World War II and now recognized as a World Heritage Site. We’ll also visit the iconic Palace of Culture, a skyscraper gifted by the Soviet Union, reflect on the former largest Jewish ghetto in Europe, and stroll through Lazienkowski Park, home to the Chopin Monument. At around 2:30 p. m. , after some time for a walk and lunch, we’ll depart for Pomerania until we reach our next stop: Poznan, an active city with a magnificent main square and vibrant atmosphere. You’ll have some time to explore.

day 17 - Poznan, Berlin

We’ll depart early from Poznan, traveling through the vast plains to Germany. We’ll arrive in Berlin around 11:30 a. m.

day 18 - Berlin

After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
