was an amazing guide. She had the best recommendations on every place we stopped. Her and worked so well together to give us all the trip of a lifetime there wasn’t once I didn’t enjoy the experience.
I would the trip of my life ! It was so amazing, I had the best trip manger , and I have made friends forever
The trip was amazing! Being able to meet new people and explore a new country whilst solo traveling was great. The trip allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and appreciate and understand the NZ culture more. Definitely recommend.
Had an absolutely brilliant time on my Contiki with Brit and Chris. The trip was well managed, and I could not be happier with the activities and how they were explained. The other travellers were some of the friendliest and nicest people as well.
It was such an amazing experience, everyone I met was unreal, incredible people and places!! Would 100% recommend to anyone!
Awesome experience. Some of the activities are expensive but worth it. Everything was set up so well, trip manager Ashley was amazing, and bus driver Chris did a great job
This was the best holiday I have ever been on. The group were very considerate of one another with all travellers being solo over Christmas/New Year, our trip manager and driver were terrific and made this such a memorable trip. Every optional extra was worth doing. I did so many extras that often I had too much to pick and not enough time in the day. The sky driving in Franz Josef was breathtaking. Tasman Sea views one side and Glacier views the other side. Make sure you do the helicopter ride as well. Both quad bikes activities were incredible, swimming with dolphins, bungy, canyon swing, canyoning, funyanks etc the list goes on. Just do it all. The views were amazing. I wish we stayed in Wanaka and less in Christchurch and Wellington as they were dead cities over Christmas/New Year
The trip was an amazing amount of adventure, adrenaline, learning about culture and fun activities and delicious food and drinks. I had the most amazing time and would do it all again!
A great experience with a professional trip manager and driver
The overall trip was amazing. I didn't have to worry about a thing as we had the best trip manager and driver. All the free time add ons were great, I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
I loved every minute of this trip! It was equal amounts of adrenaline, party and chill! The driver and trip manager did a fantastic job ensuring that everything went smoothly. It was truly an amazing way to see so much of New Zealand in a short amount of time.
My tour guide was very interesting and make learning about new zeland very cool
BOOK WITH CAUTION I’ve previously done a contiki in Europe and this contiki experience was not even remotely close to being just as good of an experience unfortunately. This had a lot to do with the contiki tour manger I was provided. I was a contiki joining an already established tour (modular trip) which I discovered a couple days prior to it starting due to the contiki chat option. There’s lots of stigma around how segregated contiki’s can be when they are modular and so this made me very apprehensive. First day of the contiki there were no introductory games or ice breakers and the larger contiki had already been together for 2 nights. On our first night out about 2 days in for me, when I mentioned my reservations about how it’s been hard to make connections with them because they had already bonded, my contiki manager turned around and said “there’s no way they’ve only been together for 3 days trust me they’re not that close”. She continued to say to myself and a few others with similar concerns, for us not to be the “problem contiki group and not to start drama”. The manager remained dismissive and uncooperative when myself and others were suggesting ideas about bridging the gap which unfortunately left a sour taste for the remainder of the contiki especially as a solo traveller. She also continued to preach how to be a contiki manager you had to be organised and a good communicator. Which in my personal opinion was not the case with her. Day sheets would come out on the day of whist were on the bus instead of the day before and this was the same with the activity sheets. This made planing outfits and what the pack in our day bags very difficult, they also lacked important details in regards to our activities this wasn’t ideal especially seeing as when bags were on the coach we had no access to them. Overall was not what I was anticipating when I booked this contiki especially after the high set standards of the European one I did last year. The good reviews for this contiki were a deciding factor in booking it, but after completing it, a good trip manager really does make or break a contiki. If it wasn’t for the activities I don’t know that I would have enjoyed myself in NZ.
i loved it, mel and chris were awesome and all of the activities were super well organised and super fun.
