New Zealand Tours in Winter

The trip to New Zealand organized by CharlieTheTraveler was packed with active and fun activities! I had a blast on every tour we took, especially the flight tours. I am so happy I went on this trip and cannot wait to book my next through this company! As I said before, the flight tours were my favorite part of the trip. It was such a unique way to explore the beautiful landscape of the country. I also appreciated that although our experience and entertainment were prioritized, I still felt safe while doing every adventure.

It was not a luxury trip but by no means were we roughing it. The price initially looked a bit expensive but everything was comfortable, the tour manager really was there every minute of the day to ensure things went as planned, even personal situations such as lost luggage benefitted from his attention, even when just helping people call the right numbers and plan accordingly. It really was a good value and much easier than trying to figure it all out, on our own. Favorite Memorable Experience: When we went on the boat out to the fjord, it was an unusually sunny, clear and not-so-cold Winter day (it was impressed upon us how rare this really is). At one point, the boat will get so close to a waterfall that anyone on the bow would get soaked (it's slow to happen - there is plenty of time to dodge it). We were so giddy with the nice weather, the sunshine on our faces, quite a few of us were dodging in-and-out of the water, laughing like kids running through the "sprinkler" still encased in our Winter duds, pure joy on our faces. To top it off, we suddenly saw a full rainbow in that mist, larger and closer than any of us had ever seen. It's moments like that that can't be planned but wouldn't have taken place without the plans before it.

In short this trip was amazing - filled with activities and made friends and memories that will stay with me for a long time. Our CEOs were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everywhere we went and so supportive of everyone having a great experience. Would highly recommend for anyone looking at solo travelling or having an adventure!

Overall great experience! This tour really allowed me to see some amazing sights in both New Zealand and Australia. I really enjoyed trying out surfing for the first time and getting to try so many new experiences. Our tour group became like a little family and had so much fun together.

Absolutely amazing guides. Lots of options for free time including free activities in the area. I loved the group chat and photo circle. Having a daily text to tell you times and plan for the next day worked really well. Would highly recommend but budget for the optional activities because they were amazing

This trip was one of the best things I've ever done! I got to see and experience so many cool things from the gorgeous scenery to unique wildlife and the incredible maori culture. I git fo step out of my comfort zone and met some of the most wonderful people, (special shout out to our trip manager and driver for being such incredible guides!) At no point was I bored or ready for it to be over. My only regret was not booking one of the longer tours!
