Tokyo: Check out the Sensoji Temple, one of the most significant temples in Japan, decked with a 5-storey pagoda. Don't forget to snap a pic under the giant red lantern!
Tokyo: Get a piece of Japan to take back home from one of the many little stalls here on Nakamise Street, just a short walk from the Sensoji Temple.
Tokyo: Visit this Shinto shrine in Shibuya, dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shōken. You'll have the chance to wander through a tranquil forest, passing under the world-famous Tori Gate. And ofc, stop for a picture in front of the many colourful Sake barrels, and make a wish at the sacred Camphor tree.
Tokyo: Get ready for a riot of colour and vibrant fashion. This was (and still is) a home for Japanese fashion. Grab a vintage bag, a pair of sneakers or a kawaii outfit. And don't get us started on the food! You'll find rainbow cotton candy, candy covered strawberries or a rainbow cheese sandwich.
Tokyo: It's only the biggest pedestrian intersection in the world! Come watch the world go by (and grab an iconic picture) on the crossing.

Having done no Re-search on what to see or di in Japan, and little Research about the History. It was a great way to fly round and see all the tourist spots / dabble in the culture. Contiki seem ot be my go to way for a quick wizz round, and then i tend to go back to the areas i liked at a slower pace
It was a wonderful trip. Our trip manager was knowledgeable. We saw things I never would’ve if solo travelling. I loved it.
OMG trip of a lifetime!! I need to go back 😩 Some much culture, food and good vibes. This trip hits all the places that a first time Japan trip should and takes you all the way down to Hiroshima! Absolutely love
Although contiki was great accommodation/ activity and destination wise. My trip was hugely impacted by the exclusion and coldness I experienced on the trip by another group of 6-7 members. This was unfortunate and I have made a formal complaint to contikis email about the handling of this as I believe it violates contikis code of conduct.
Japan has been on my bucket list for the longest time. This is my third Contiki trip. I’m still very happy and grateful that I had the opportunity to do this trip, because it’s proven to be the best one I’ve done so far. Shout out to Renee for being an incredible tour guide manager, as well as the amazing group of people I traveled with that made this trip impactful.
