Wonderful!
As a parent, I look at traveling right now through the lens of my child. What will she enjoy? As if she is having fun, most likely, I will too. This adveture, had the right mix of scheuduled activities, downtime, movement, and experiences. My 12 year old loved the time that she spent on the tour and fell in love with Ireland. She enjoyed playing Gaelic Games, hurling, and learning Irish social dancing. She is still talking about the jail at Spike Island and the history of the Island. She loved hearing about the fairies and other Irish lore. The tour guides didn't just recite the facts to her, they told the stories that make up Ireland and brought it to life for her. She left the trip with memories for a lifetime and came home excited to share her adventures with her family. Less than 24 hours after the trip, she is excited to tell her dad that G Adventures goes Antarctica and and that we should start planning.
We had a wonderful and memorable trip, creating many memories (and many photographs!) along the way. I would strongly recommend the tour to anyone who asked. We were also very fortunate to have Oscar and Ronan - each was wonderful and combined, they were even better!
The family tour of southern Ireland was perfect for us as our 11 year-old grandson?s introduction into international travel and a visit to the land of his Irish ancestors.
A great experience for all three of us. Our grandson wants to go back to Ireland already. We travel internationally very infrequently, and even with worry about effects of the Aer Lingus strike, everything fell in place. Reassuring to have Natasha and Debbie think so well about our and the Children's? needs. I felt we were on the same page with them throughout. Great itinerary: Southern Ireland. Not trying to do it all made for a high quality experience for each of us.I told Debbie that what grandparents want to transmit to grandchildren is hope because life can be difficult and buoyancy help get one through the unavoidable rough patches. The tour?s vibe, and both Natasha?s and Debbie?s, was just that: hopeful and upbeat yet couched in the realities of the world?s challenges, present and past. We had a blast.
