Itinerary was good Our guide however had not familiarised herself with the cities . Several times having to ask the public for directions and also with bus routes We only made our train connection to Krakow with just 2 mins to spare We liked our guide but feel she was perhaps not suited for the city tours ..her expertise is apparently in mountain areas
Our tour leader Jerry was excellent and went out of his way to ensure the group had a great experience. The itinerary was good, giving us a real flavour for Poland, its history and culture. However, the Auschwitz links provided by explore were not good ones with pickup times being changed significantly e.g. mine was changed from 8:30am to 6:40am. Those who used the other link had a far worst experience - they did not even have tickets and queued for 5 hours. Otherwise this was a great week.
Great local leader and guides. Holiday was well balanced. For two of the hotels I would have preferred less posh but a more central location. If traveling to the holiday by train do you own research on how to get to the hotel. I was disappointed at the lack of support for traveling to the holiday by train.
Fantastic trip with a great itinerary visiting 3 cities to give a great introduction to Poland. The tour leader was excellent and created a great group dynamic that added to the overall experience.
Justyna was a fabulous tour leader, knowledgable, helpful and fun. Had a great week with a lovely group exploring Poland.
It was a ‘full on’ tour but this meant a lot of ground was covered and a lot was seen, experienced and enjoyed of a country I had not visited before. The tour guide, Justyna, was first rate : very friendly, very knowledgeable and an excellent ambassador for her country.
There was too much rushed walking. Needed to do a bit less or to have extra days. Tour leader was ok but frequently gave hurried directions via street names we didn't understand and we had to have her repeat them several.times. Even then we were often at a loss as to where to go. Several in our group struggled with the pace of walking and were left behind on occasion until others asked leader to wait for them.
Great trip and experience. Very happy with it. Pawel, our leader, was excellent.
We explored three cities in a week.. The transfers from one city to the next went very smoothly. The guided tours of the cities provided plentiful information about the history and culture of the area. The tour guide was always attentive to our needs. The hotels were all of an acceptable standard.
This was a good, well organised introduction to three main centres of Poland. The trip provided a good blend of organised travel, visits and free time.
Well done to our tour guide Justyna and well done to Explore for putting this on in difficult times.
