Chapada Diamantina Experience

You will be received at the bus station in Lençóis and transferred to the inn/hotel. Next, you will

hike through Muritiba Park, in the outskirts of the city. Along the way, we will follow the Lençóis River, visiting Serrano, Salão de Areias, Poço Halley, Cachoeirinha, and continuing to Primavera Waterfall. The tour includes several spots for swimming, as well as a privileged view of Lençóis.

We leave Lençóis by car in the morning towards Iraquara to visit the Pratinha Cave. The perfect place for a swim in the crystalline waters of the Pratinha River, and where we visit the Blue Grotto, enjoying the natural beauties of the place at the quietest time of visit. The attraction also has floating diving options inside the cave and zip lines (optional).

In the afternoon, we will have a delicious lunch of typical foods, before driving towards the Lapa Doce Cave. The Iraquara region is famous for its limestone subsoil that allowed the formation of numerous caves and some with very rare rock formations. With the help of a local guide, we will cross the Gruta da Lapa Doce and discover the beautiful formations of stalactites, stalagmites, speleothems, columns, and their formation processes over millions of years.

We end the day with the impressive view from the top of Pai Inácio hill and return to Lençóis in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Lençóis.

Today you will see the largest waterfall in Brazil, the Cachoeira da Fumaça. We leave by car in the morning towards Vale do Capão, where we will start the 6km walk to the top of the Cachoeira.

Along the way, you will see the view of Vale do Capão and the mountain ranges that border the region, up to the Fumaça canyon, with its 400m high. Stop to enjoy the view, rest, and have a snack, before returning along the same trail to the car.

After the walk, visit the Riachinho waterfall for a relaxing bath, returning to Lençóis in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Lençóis.

This day you will visit the two most famous crystal blue water wells in the region. First, we drive to Poço Encantado, an immense natural pool of turquoise blue water, inside a limestone cave. Through access to the interior of the cave, we can enjoy the effect of the ray of the sun crossing the well to the bottom, 60 meters deep.

Afterward, we head to Poço Azul, where we will float inside the cave and then have a well-deserved lunch of typical foods.

We return to Lençóis in the late afternoon.
