Jalapão, nestled in Brazil’s Tocantins state, remains a hidden treasure waiting to be explored by global adventurers. Perfect for young adults and experienced explorers, this tour package invites you to traverse the striking orange dunes, swim in crystal-clear boiling springs, and marvel at waterfalls like Cachoeira da Velha and Cachoeira da Formiga.

Trek through Serra do Espírito Santo’s dramatic rock formations and bask in emerald pools that invite pure relaxation. day 1 - Welcome to Palmas, Tocantins.

Our receptive team will pick you up at Palmas Airport (PMW) and take you to your accommodation. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the capital of Tocantins.

day 2 - Palmas and Ponte Alta

We will head towards Jalapão, with our first stop at Lagoa do Japonês, a place of rare and unique beauty, featuring crystal-clear blue waters and rock formations perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the stunning natural scenery. We will take a break for a typical lunch at a local restaurant, offering an immersion into the region's culture.

Next, we will visit Pedra Furada, a huge sandstone rock sculpted by wind and rain, where we will have the opportunity to see a beautiful sunset. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay in Ponte Alta.

day 3 - Ponte Alta and Mateiros

We will head towards Mateiros, with a visit to the Sussuapara Canyon. Our next stop will be the Rio Novo Community, where we will have lunch at Dona Cleuza's. After a brief rest, we will enjoy a relaxing swim in the waters at Prainha do Rio Novo, also known as Pixico Beach.

Then, we will head towards the Jalapão Dunes, considered the only formation of its kind in the Cerrado. Here, the group will take a longer break for photos and to appreciate the sunset. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay in Mateiros.

day 4 - Mateiros and São Félix

We will start the day early with an optional trek (consult price) to Morro do Sereno, where we can enjoy a breathtaking sunrise. After returning to the inn for breakfast, we will head to Cachoeira do Formiga, considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Jalapão, with its emerald green waters providing a relaxing and refreshing bath. We will have lunch in the Mumbuca Quilombola Community, the birthplace of golden grass crafts.

Next, we will visit the most impressive site for tourists and researchers, a crystal-clear water pool where it is impossible to sink, giving bathers the clear sensation of floating, the Fervedouro do Ceiça. After that, we will visit Fervedouros Buritizinho and Bela Vista, and then enjoy a night swim at Fervedouro do Alecrim. Dinner(not included) and overnight stay in São Félix.

day 5 - São Felix x Palmas

We will head towards Palmas, but first, we will visit Fervedouro Por Enquanto and have an optional Class II rafting adventure (consult price) on the Rio Soninho.

Next, we will visit Cachoeira das Araras, where we will enjoy the most diverse lunch in the region. After lunch, we will begin our journey to Palmas, with a photo stop in front of Morro da Catedral, considered one of the most impressive rock formations in Jalapão. We are expected to arrive in Palmas at 6:00 PM.

day 6 - Good-bye Jalapão!

Today our service will transport you back to the airport/bus station, according to your schedule.
