day 1 - Welcome to São Luis do Maranhão!
Today, our representatives will pick you up from São Luís International Airport (SLZ) and take you to Barreirinhas, the gateway to Lençóis Maranhenses. Check in to your hotel and explore as you wish.
day 2 - Lagoa Bonita Circuit
Depart from Barreirinhas in a 4×4 vehicle, which will take us to a ferry for crossing the Preguiças River, providing access to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The trail route is 20 kilometers, a journey lasting approximately one hour until you reach the dunes. Then, we will climb a ladder to reach one of the highest points of the national park. From there, we will have a beautiful panoramic view of the entire region. Next, the guide will lead us through the Lençóis, visiting various lagoons for swimming and enjoying the sunset.
day 3 - Circuito Atins, Canto do Atins and Lagoons
Depart from Barreirinhas in a 4×4 vehicle that will take us to a ferry for crossing the Preguiças River, providing access to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The trail route is 30 kilometers long and will take approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to cover.
The first stop is at the beginning of the dunes, where the entire formation of dunes in the national park starts. Then, we will proceed to Atins to visit the mouth of the Preguiças River (the meeting of the river waters with the sea). From the mouth, we will head to Canto do Atins in a 20-minute car ride, arriving at the dunes. Our guide will lead us to visit lagoons and deserted beaches.
At around 1:30 pm, we will stop for lunch (not included) in a rustic restaurant, where we will enjoy grilled shrimp.
day 4 - Caburé
Today we depart from Barreirinhas down the Preguiças River on a speedboat. After 40 minutes you will arrive at the Vassouras community, areas of the small Lençóis, from where we can see beautiful views of dunes and mangroves. Depending on the weather condition, we may swim in the lagoons.
Next, we will go to the Mandacarú community to visit the Preguiças lighthouse with its 160 steps. From the top, we can see a fantastic panoramic view of the region. Then, we continue to Caburé beach (peninsula), where lunch is held (not included) and you can enjoy a beautiful beach.
day 5 - Transfer to São Luis
Today, our representatives will take you back to São Luís International Airport (SLZ) for departure.
