Such a thrill seeing these incredible countries. Sweden, particularly Stockholm was my favourite city, especially seeing the ABBA museum. The old town of Tallin, Estonia was just beautiful. It's a shame we didn't have an extra day in Tallin, I would've loved to have seen more of it. We had Diarmaid as our leader & Sylvian as our driver, both very professional & knowledgeable. Definitely recommend :)
Our tour was excellent Diaramaid is a delightful guide. He spends time getting to know everyone and is always smiling. The countries were very interesting. Lots of history and beautiful scenery. I do recommend when visiting the Trakai castle there needs to be more time as eating lunch took up mpst of our time. Also we arrive quite late in Poznan and it might have been better to just go straight to Warsaw. Our gropup of people were like family and we are now friends. I really enjoyed my experience.
Loved Scandinavia and Baltics tour. I have travelled with various companies on multiple tours and Diarmaid is the best leader I have had and we loved Sylvian (our driver) too. The accommodation was great - the ferries particularly a highlight. I only wish we had more time in Riga and Tallinn (but fortunately I had been there before). I recommend the Fjord optional in Norway but, if you are happy to do your own research, save your money on the city 'plus' optionals for the well-earned tip for your tour leader and driver. Gdansk and Bergen were particular highlights.
Enjoyable tour
I absolutely loved this tour. Whilst being packed full of things to do and see, the mornings weren't too early and I didn't feel like we were spending all our time on the road so it really felt like a holiday as well as a wonderful sightseeing experience. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add Krakow on as I think that would be a more valuable and interesting addition than Warsaw. Otherwise this tour was wonderful! Highly recommended!
We had a great time and enjoyed every part of the tour. Our tour leader Luke and our driver Brian are the best, always making sure we were safe and had a blast everywhere we went, plus their culture, history and geography knowlede is outstanding. They make a great team. This was our 4th Expat tour and can't wait for the 5th. (already planning it), it was the second time we had Luke as a leader and hope to have him again in future tours. Breakfast was great in every hotel except for Karlstad. The only reason why we don't put a 5 star in accomodations is Karlstad (definitely not good) We were the first group to do the Catamaran additional excursion from Gdansk to Sopot and it was one of the best excursions, the Catamaran, the Catamaran crew and the dinner in Sopot were awesome!!!!!
I had an excellent experience with Expat on their Scandinavia and Baltics tour. The tour went to eight different countries within three weeks and I was able to tick many items off my bucket list! From the mermaid statue in Copenhagen, breath taking Norwegian Fjords to the vibrant city of Stockholm (sound tracked by ABBA!). A special thank you to our tour leader Darius and driver Paulo for working so hard and ensuring the trip ran smoothly. Overall, an experience I would highly recommend because you see so much of the world and meet some incredible people along the way.
1. The tour went to good places, and we learned has improved based on feedback. 2. Luke Watson is a great tour leader with knowledge and enthusiasm.
i really enjoyed this tour. Our tour leader's ""no stress"" approach really put us all at ease and immediately made us feel comfortable with his amiable nature. Our tour leader Luke along with Brian as the driver made for an excellent team together. Their mutual respect and comradery for each other was a joy to witness.
I enjoyed the Scandinavia and Baltics tour. Free time was great. Luke was absolutely fabulous as a Tour Director, and having Brian the driver working together with Luke was a great combination.
