Unravel the fascinating history behind some of Germany’s magnificent medieval towns
This tour gives a lovely overview of a number of attractive towns in southern Germany and the Black Forest. It is well paced and the accommodation is generally very comfortable. We had a very charming tour guide who added to the experience
ntnThe pace of the bus tour could be a little slower with 2 nights i each place achieved by cutting a bit of the content e.g. the black forest and the waterfall. ..you see one waterfall and you've seen them all.
This tour could be so much better if some towns were replaced. I would have preferred to go to Nuremberg instead of Regensburg which I found quite boring. The hotels are good but the one in Munich is in a less than desirable location. As a solo woman traveller, I didn’t feel safe. The last three days of the tour were without a doubt the best. If the whole tour was like that it would be great. The provided meals were good but not outstanding. Our bus driver Dodo, was very good and researched our next days journey so that everything ran smoothly. The tour leader, Mel was good but needed to provide more information about our destination.
A Fantastic tour through the prettiest parts of Germany. Lots to see and do with a fun and knowledgeable guide. Good hotels, excellent bus and again a wonderful guide.
A week of beautiful nature, of pretty villages and of culture and history. Our guide was well organised and well versed in the past and present existence of Bavaria and Bad Wittenberg. Our driver drove safely and always appeared on time. I didn't give it 5 stars as I feel it is necessary to decrease the number of kms undertaken... although I used the time in the bus to relax and ruminate on what we had seen
Fall head over heels as you trace the south of Germany – where half-timber houses stand stoic in medieval towns, majestic pine trees whisper in ancient forests and towering mountains stretch towards the sky. From savouring a slice of decadent Black Forest gâteau to soaking up views of verdant valleys along the Romantic Road and losing yourself in the intricate beauty of Renaissance and baroque architecture – your memories of Germany will remain long after your journey’s end.
