For adventurous souls ready to challenge themselves, the "8-Day Kilimanjaro Trekking: Machame Route" is the summit experience of a lifetime. Known as the "Whiskey Route," Machame boasts stunning scenery and a high success rate, with hikers traversing everything from lush rainforests to the dramatic Barranco Wall. This moderate to challenging trek is best suited for young adults and experienced travelers eager for altitude and adventure. day 1 - Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport
After your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are transferred to Zebra Hotel on Bed & Breakfast.
day 2 - Moshi to Machame
Pick up from your hotel in Moshi and drive to Machame Gate. After the necessary registration process has been completed, the trek begins. We start trekking through the forest to Machame Hut. It is a gentle climb to the hut.

day 3 - Machame Hut to Shira Hut (3,800m)
Climbing starts early in the morning, by crossing the valley up through a steep ridge before turning west into the river gorge. After a gentler climb to the Shira Plateau we reach the Shira Hut.

day 4 - Shira to Barranco (3,950m)
This is the place for sightseeing, especially vegetation and Barranco valley. The climb starts with a hike towards east up to the junction, the route then turns south to the glacier stream and reaches Barranco Hut.

day 5 - Barranco to Barafu (4,600m)
We trek through the ridge to Karanga looking at the West Breach and the Southern Glacier. Then we hike along Barafu Path before reaching Barafu Hut.

day 6 - Barafu to Uhuru Peak (5,896m)
The last day will begin really early (probably 00:00 am) for the climb to the summit. We pass through the Ratzel and Rebmann glaciers to the highest point in Africa - Uhuru Peak at 5,896 meters above sea level.
After relaxing, watching the sun rise and taking memorable pictures, we start descending to the Mweka Hut and spend overnight there.
day 7 - Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate
After breakfast we descend to Mweka Gate and drive back to your local accommodation for dinner and overnight.
day 8 - Moshi/Airport
Drop off at Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight back home.
