In this Grand Journey of Italy, you will explore the top attractions of this beautiful country over the period of 11days.
From the charming little hill town of Assisi to the Renaissance city of Florence and the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa; from the elegant streets of Bologna to the beautiful canal city of Venice and the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany, this is indeed a grand tour of Italy.
We will begin our journey from Rome and travel to various historical cities, taking in their attractions and learning more about the Italian culture and heritage. In the last leg of our tour, we will visit the ancient city of Pompeii, the picturesque town of Sorrento and the island of Capri.
After the tour of beautiful Italy, we will return to Rome to end our grand journey.
It was a pleasure to tour Venice, Florence, and Rome. The tour included a good mix of scheduled events, optional excursions, and free time. When there was free time, it was simple to travel by foot or cab to and from every hotel location.

Stop in Padova before you travel to the Adriatic coast to see San Marino, an independent country sitting atop a fortified mountain. Pass by Gubbio, home to the Palace of Consuls, and travel to Perugia, surrounded by the valleys and mountains of Umbria. Explore Assisi and see the Basilica of St. Francis before you make your way back to Rome, where your tour of Italy will come to an end. Very laid back and easy with two days in most places and a good quantity of free time. Fantastic tour director who kept her flock in control. Driver was phenomenal and a pleasure to talk to. As always there is too much to see and remember so picture taking is essential.
