The anticipated daily downpours didn't materialise [ though, of course there was some rain ], and we spent most of the trip observing fantastic wildlife in dense jungle or warm, blue seas under blue skies. The rainforest is home to jaguars, three-toed sloths and three of Costa Rica's four species of monkey: spider monkey, mantled howler and the white-headed capuchin.
