Frequently asked questions relating to this tour or destination.
We enjoyed ourselves, had good activities and had time to rest too. Transportation between cities was great. We felt safe with the drivers, and they were on time.
Tortuguero was full of great nature, although the heat and lack of fans and air conditioning can be brutal at times. Puerto Viejo/Cocles was our favorite and it was great to see the Caribbean side of Costa Rica; all of the experiences there were fantastic as well. Overall, we enjoyed our honeymoon and hope to make it back to Costa Rica to visit the other side of the coast in the future!
Immerse yourself in Costa Rica’s biodiversity with the Tortuguero National Park Adventure, a five-day tour tailored for young adults eager for wildlife encounters and ecological discovery. Begin with a scenic drive from San Jose, then spend two full days exploring the park’s lush canals, spotting everything from green sea turtles and sloths to caimans, monkeys, and an astonishing variety of birds.
Boat rides and guided walks reveal the park’s rich tapestry of life—over 57 amphibian species, 111 reptiles, and 60 mammals. Return to San Jose with a deeper appreciation for one of Costa Rica’s most vital conservation areas.
The highlight of this trip package is its hands-on approach to wildlife viewing, offering unmatched access to the heart of Tortuguero’s rainforests and waterways.
