Colors of Bangkok is a popular half-day cycling tour in Bangkok. Enjoy pedaling through narrow streets and backyards, visit Wat Bang Krasop temple and Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, enjoy delicious Thai meal and explore Bang Krachao “the green lung of Bangkok”.
Your tour begins as you cross the Chao Praya River on a ferryboat. While standing on the riverbanks of the Chao Praya River, the many loops running in and out the Bhumibol Bridges I & II at 40 m is sure to impress you. Once you reach the other side of the river, you will find yourself in Bangkrachao sub-district, also called “The Green Lung of Bangkok” or “Bangkok’s green jungle”. It is the biggest & greenest area near the city (about 16 kms). Here, you will cycle on elevated pathways through lush vegetation and under the shade of coconut, palm and banana trees.
Our first stop in Bangkrachao is a local, non-touristy Buddhist temple (Wat Bang Krasop). Mind your head when stepping inside the old temple. If time allows, we will pay a short visit to the elementary school next to the temple to say hello to the children.
We continue the bicycle ride deeper into the jungle until we reach a Muay Thai boxing gym. Take time to learn about this national sports. Those keen in trying it out can also do so and take a short lesson from the master. Then, we continue our ride crossing a market (if it is open) and visit the beautiful Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, where we take a break and enjoy the scenery.
During the ride, we will also make a stop at a local restaurant to offer you a typical Thai meal like “Pad Thai” or “Kao Pad” (fried noodles or fried rice) with shrimps, crab, pork, chicken or vegetarian. Communicate your preference with your guide.
After our meal, we return to the pier where we take the ferry back to Bangkok and end the tour.
You don't need to be an avid cyclist to join the tour. Colors of Bangkok is an easy paced and relaxed biking trip that is suitable for the young and the old.
Note: RBB reserves the right to change advertised itineraries, since schools and local shops may be closed during the weekend, school holidays and national holidays.
CRUISING HOLIDAY: Join this 6-day cruising adventure through Thailand, combining temple treasures with a serene RV River Kwai cruise. Explore the spiritual allure of Phra Pathom Chedi, and gain poignant insights into wartime history at the JEATH War Museum. Onboard the RV River Kwai, discover Sai Yok National Park's waterfalls, and explore the captivating Kaeng Lava Cave. Pay your respects at Hellfire Pass and the chilling Hin Lek Fai Memorial Complex. A visit to Don Rak War Cemetery and crossing the iconic Bridge on the River Kwai bring this unforgettable journey to a close.
This bike journey — much like Thailand's geography and history — is shaped by the flow of rivers. In the north, the Ping descends from the mountains into Chiang Mai. In the Central Plains, the Yom meanders through the ancient landscape of Sukhothai, while the Ping and Nan rivers converge to create the mighty Chao Phraya, the River of Kings. In the Mae Klong Delta, the rivers fan out and spill into the Gulf of Thailand. Along these valleys and plains, expansive rice paddies, villages, towns, and remnants of once-powerful empires come to life. Over 14 days, we wind along scenic backcountry roads for an in-depth exploration of what has made Thailand — the so-called “Land of Smiles” — the vibrant country it is today. With manageable daily distances, limited climbing, and plenty of off-saddle exploration, plus delectable Thai cuisine and cosy accommodations (many along rivers!), this is the ideal tour for those seeking an active yet immersive Thai holiday.
We start in Chiang Mai, exploring this storied city by bike before heading south through the rustic countryside of “Lanna” (the local name for northern Thailand). Along the way, we discover glittering temples, charming heritage towns, and an agrarian world shaped by Buddhist and animist beliefs. Next, we venture into the heartland of the ancient Sukhothai Empire, visiting its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the grand capital and its pottery-producing satellite city of Sri Satchanalai, as well as the military fortress of Kamphaeng Phet. Riding through Thailand’s rice basket, we follow the Chao Phraya River, flanked by expansive paddy fields stretching to the horizon. By day 9, we reach Ayutthaya, where the UNESCO-listed ruins of the former Siamese capital offer a faded reminder of past glory. We then veer west into Kanchanaburi, where jungle-clad mountains loom over the plains of the historic River Kwai. The last leg of our journey takes us to the Mae Klong Delta, home to Thailand’s most famous floating market and endless coconut farms. Afterward, we transfer to Bangkok for a final ride through an urban oasis before bidding farewell over dinner aboard a converted rice barge cruising along the River of Kings. The tour concludes in Bangkok.
Join us on this eye-opening ride into the heart and soul of Old-World Siam!

Just a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok lies Khao Yai National Park - a peaceful nature reserve offering an idyllic road cycling escape.
Khao Yai is Thailand's third largest national park, made up primarily of dense forests upon an undulating landscape of hills which, when looked at from a distance, appear as one green mass rising majestically out of the Central Plains. Hence the name Khao Yai, which translates to "Big Mountain". The area is home to many waterfalls and other natural gems, though it's richest possession is the diversity of wildlife and flora living within. Bears, gibbons, elephants, hornbills, endangered species of reptiles, and many more animals call this vast landscape home. For the avid cyclist, riding the park's only road from one end to the other - with it's series of uphill drags, roller-coaster-like dips, beautiful hairpins and double-digit gradients all embraced by never ending waves of fresh jungle foliage - is as delightful as it is challenging. It is not just the interior of Khao Yai which makes for great riding, however. All around the edges of the National Park, a vast patchwork of rural roads radiating across plains offer the road cyclist a dream upcountry getaway.
With Khao Yai and its surrounding countryside as the centerpiece, SpiceRoads invites you on a fantastic 4 day cycling sojourn combining the best of rural and wild Thailand. Starting just beyond the suburbs of Bangkok, we'll cycle along flat roads traversing a landscape of farmlands, rice paddies, villages, and canals. We stay at a riverside resort along the western edge of Khao Yai which, the following day, will be our base for a scenic 135 km loop around the area. On Day 3 we head south into the province of Prachinburi inching closer towards the wilds of Khao Yai. We overnight at a lovely hotel surrounded by nature less than a kilometer from the entrance to the National Park and on Day 4 we take up the challenge of conquering the "Big Mountain"! From the entry gate to the top, we will gain over 1,000 m while covering nearly 40 km. We roll down on the other side where our adventure concludes with a gentle ride in the agricultural district of Pak Chong which sits at the northern edge of Khao Yai. Celebrate the achievement with a well-deserved glass of locally produced wine - Khao has Thailand's most premier selection of New World wines.
