Journeys: Iconic Thailand was a fabulous experience!!! We had the most wonderful tour guide (shout out to Natthanan Chai Yenklom--the very best!!!!) who looked after every detail and made the experience comfortable and enjoyable for each person on the trip. I loved the varied activities--the home visit and cooking class in Chiang Mai; Ko Klang Island and Hong Island in Southern Thailand; and the amazing temples in Bangkok were particular highlights for me on the trip. I would do another National Geographic Journeys/G Adventures tour in the future!

Our tour guide Poy was fantastic! She was very organized, knowledgeable and helpful. She stayed with us all the way to the return airport to make sure we got all the assistance needed.
The last tour night in Bangkok the Kantary hotel was marginal at best. Very musty odor like mold. The area was not near any decent shopping or eating. You may want to consider a different hotel.

This trip was great from beginning to end, the itinerary was very well organized, simple, and not tiring. My mom and I love the beaches in Phuket the most, where we can move freely and relax. Every year we travel to different countries, and this operator has been the best I have ever worked with. Their services are great, and the guides and drivers are very enthusiastic. The itinerary was nicely balanced. It included the main sights in the places visited along with down time to rest and refresh. If keeping busy was more to your liking, there were many excellent optional tours.
The coach was comfortable and kept clean.
Loved the hotels. The Galleria 10 in Bangkok was in an excellent location, within walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores, and the sky train. Their 2 for 1 daily Happy Hour was a nice way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Thoroughly enjoyed the other hotels which also offered pools for relaxation - in Kanchanaburi, Sukhothai, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. The hotel in Kanchanaburi was within walking distance of the famous Bridge over the river Kwai which was a bonus. The hotel in Chiang Rai was within walking distance to additonal sights not included in the tour as well as to excellent restaurants. All the hotels offered a good selection of options for daily breakfast as well as for the included dinners.
