David and Dan were excellent guides. They both have great knowledge of Croatia and freely share that knowledge. I would recommend them to anyone looking for this cycling experience.
We all had a wonderful time, the whole group got along and we made life long friends. It was fast, we saw a lot of beautiful places. Our driver was excellent, his name was Chris and our tour leader was Martina ""Marty"" who had a wealth of information since she has traveled the world visiting every country in this world… amazing! We would highly recommend Expat, this was our sixth trip. Safe travels!
A boat trip through this spectacular coastline is a must! We swam in crystal clear warm seas, anchored in small villages, ate at some wonderful restaurants eating fresh fish and lazed around. If you want a relaxing journey- this is it! We had only 6 people onboard which was nice. You make make a food kitty and buy groceries the first night to feed yourselfs for breakfast, lunch and snacks- in hindsight, I would have brought some food to share from Split where the store has more options- you can always get fresh bread in the ports for sandwiches. All in all- a great trip!
I had an amazing week exploring stunning Croatia. It was a completely different holiday getting to sail instead of going over land. Travelling from place to place was part of the fun! Ivan was a fun and friendly skipper and he made us feel safe at all times.
Loved the scenery, company, tour guide. I've learnt a lot and appreciate a good knowledgeable guide. I enjoyed every minute of the tour. A activity day 1 like a thermal pool would have been a great ice breaker.
Make your way through the Balkans with this fascinating tour of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia! Your journey will begin in Zagreb, the northwestern capital of Croatia, known for its remarkable 18th and 19th-century Austro-Hungarian architecture. Cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina to visit the Tunnel of Hope in Sarajevo, constructed between March and June 1993 amidst the Bosnian War. Your next destination will be in Mostar, where you can see the Stonebridge that separates the Orthodox, Muslim, and Catholic communities and explore the sacred pilgrimage destination. See the Kravice Waterfalls before you explore Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful Croatian cities in Europe famous for its strong stone walls. Next, you will travel to Split, known for its gorgeous seascapes, where you will visit the Diocletian’s Palace. Pay a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a World Heritage Site in Croatia, and explore Opatija, known for its captivating coastal views. See the beautiful cathedral and castle before you make your way back to Zagreb where your tour of Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia will come to an end!
The crew and tour leader were fantastic. There were many stops along the way for swimming. The history learned and walking through the many historic towns was illuminating.
The lower cabin is very very spacious and quiet.
Good itinerary, skipper and sailing, port and swimming experience. Would not recommend doing it if on the Sauternes sailboat. Please resolve maintenance issues so it does not affect time, itinerary and feeling of safety. The focus of the trip should not be whether we can sail without problems with the vessel. Fuel, engine, smoke billowing from exhaust and leakage into cabins and hallways are not the type of experience I expect from G adventures.
As a repeated traveler with G Adventures company, I am sorry to say that this was not the best experience I had in my 2 weeks vacation due to above mentioned issues. The trip otherwise would have been fantastic as the sites are amazing and Sandre's knowledge and experience are remarkable.
A great way to experience Croatia. However, we feel that some of the optional experiences should be INCLUDED (specifically the lunch at the family-owned winery) and a little more time spent in the STON area would have been nice.
