A self guided walk along the original Camino trail used by pilgrims walking to Santiago de Compostela. The pilgrim's trail to Santiago de Compostela is one of the great historical 'long distance footpaths' through Europe. According to legend, it all began in the 9th century when the bones of the apostle St James, beheaded in Palestine, miraculously appeared in a village in what is now Galicia. Word spread around the Christian world, reaching (among others) King Alfonso II of Asturias. He undertook the pilgrimage, travelling through dark woods and daunting mountains, from Oviedo to Lugo to Santiago and invited fellow kings and noblemen to follow in his footsteps. The 'original' route became very popular in the early Middle Ages when areas south of the Cantabrian mountains were continuously at war. I put 5 stars because of the experience but some hotels were alittle old that we stayed in with old beds which was alittle blaaaa... in seville was great at the catalonia and madrid the last day had a better room then the first day at the weare hotel..

Although 4 star hotels were sought however all hotels were not 4 star and not properly equipped
Guide Ajit singh and Louis and Anna. interaction and tour management was very good however guide Esther was pathetic and she delayed departures at every destination due to poor management
On questioning the Inordinate delays , Esther teamed up with other tour manager DAVID and threatened that we will not be allowed to board bus and delays have to be accepted
As a customer if tour agency behaves in this manner despite of paying in lakhs for the tour it is pitiful
Owing to poor tour management by some tour guides future opting of europomondo is not preferred

This itinerary was perfect for me and my husband. It would be great if three nights would have been allotted to Lisbon by adding a day and making the tour 10 days instead of 9. Our tour director Sabrina was great!
