This was an extraordinary trip. During our time in the parks we saw at least 3-7 lions a day, and a leopard every day! The last day after driving for 7 hours with little activity, we saw within the last two hours, lions a leopard and 4 cheetahs resting on the road-it was unbelievable. The other animals were great as well-lots and lots of elephants and many animals had young ones- elephants, zebra's and hyena cubs. We were able to get remarkabley close-10-15 ft. so got great pictures with my Apple 15 pro. The lodges were lovely and a nice break from the camp. The camping was not glamping-cots weren't particularly comfortable, especially if you are tall and on the larger side. While the toilet facilities were basic they provided hot water for the showers in the afternoon and filled wash basins in front of the tent in the morning with hot water to wash with. The food was delicious-fresh baked breads and deserts, homemade soups to begin every meal and much to my surprise lots of good vegetables. Bring warm clothes including hats and gloves and a windbreaker for the morning game drive-it's an open truck so gets very cold when the wind blows through. Wool blankets are provided to cover your legs. Be prepared for long and very bumpy, dusty drives. Most of the roads/tracks are sand. This is not a trip for someone with a bad back. Make sure you have a waterbottle with a spout so you can drink while the truck is moving and something to cover your mouth and nose with to keep out the dust. Be prepared to go to the bathroom in the bush. The houseboat is so relaxing and great bird watching on the boat trips. Finally, our guide Bibi was wonderful and a phenomenal tracker-always slowing down to look for animal tracks and then racing off to find the animal for us.
I absolutely would recommend this trip to anyone. It is a very active tour because you are on the go all of the time, but we saw and experienced so much. I got just enough of a taste to want to return. I would also recommend adding at least a day, or two, before and after the tour.
Wild landscapes, intrepid activities and all the laughs - what an epic trip! Taffy was an incredible guide - communicative, knowledgeable on local culture, and the best laugh! We felt safe in his presence, he's an amazing cook, and he's a credit to G Adventures!
This is an outstanding tour that involves significant road travel, superb landscapes and wildlife sightings together with excellent accommodation. Our guide (Nonki) is a lovely lady who treated us very well while maintaining the schedule appropriately.
My experience was amazing and took me out of my comfort zone with the onsite camping in the Okavango Delta. However, the people and the experiences we met along the way surpassed any negatives. One other thing I forgot to mention about our CEO was that it would have been more engaging if he had identified various markers along the way. For example, our taxi drive to WDH airport pointed out landmarks and items of interest on our way to the airport that our guide could maybe have identified to enrich our knowledge.
The South Africa Encompassed 17 days was a very good itinerary that allows you to see the best and most beautiful parts of the country. Sunway-safaris had done a very good job in organising the trip and the guilds Claude and Duncan did a fantastic job to make everything happened smoothly. They are responsible, efficient and organised; they know their job well and are just amazing! There are some very long drives but we had a good time because everyone in the group is so fun loving!

This trip was outstanding. My wife and I are back home and we're still talking about it with big smiles on our faces. G Adventures came through wonderfully and showed us exactly what we went to see, and more, in every way.
I would not change a thing!!
We have already started recommending this trip and tour to others.
This trip was amazing. We had an experience that we never could have got from staying in a lodge. Yes the nights were cold and a tent is not luxury but I would not have wanted to miss a second of it. If you are open to some adventure and bush camping then I highly recommend this trip.
It was a wonderful trip thanks to an exceptional guide, Africa's own treasured wildlife and habitats, and the kind generosity of the natives who shared with us this spectacular part of the world. Yes, the pre-trip paperwork could have been less confusing . The logistics should maybe have been worked out earlier and more definitely. Nonetheless, all in all a fantastic trip I wish I could share with everyone I love. Please protect the gems we have left. Thank you for helping us be responsible tourists.

This was an excellent trip very efficiently run. Two nights in every location except the last worked well. The accommodation standard was excellent and all the food was very good, including that prepared by the leaders. The trip was a very good mixture of game driving, hiking, a history day and driving days (I enjoy seeing the countryside and I listen to audio books to help pass the time). The last two and a half hiking days in the Drakensberg were a real highlight. Only one day, the hike in Eswatini, failed to impress as it was on a big track most of the time. Overall, this gives a very good introduction to the east of South Africa with not too much time spent in the truck. Oh, and the truck was very spacious and comfortable, not a minibus as I expected.
Great trip with very good leaders in Weston, Gift and Dean. Well organised and informative. It can be hard work breaking camp most mornings, often quite early starts, and then setting up each evening, often at sunset. Client participation essential to make it all work. Food simple yet sustaining with good variety. Surprised the vehicle was not airconditioned as at times very hot.
