Even though I was the only person on this trip, I cannot thank Explore highly enough for the excellent liaison with the local partners to ensure I had a safe and seamless trip. Although most days were spent in Cambodia, it was interesting having some time in Thailand and Vietnam as well. I would highly recommend this trip.
On this 10-day trip through Cambodia, you’ll start in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City with your group, then hightail it to Phnom Penh, where you’ll set sail on the Mekong River over sunset and kindle the flames of friendship. Then, soak up the sun, sand and swim in the island paradise Koh Rong and meet the locals during a rural homestay in Sambor Prei Kuk. Discover ancient wonders in Siem Reap’s Angkor complex at sunrise and spend a full day wandering this incredible UNESCO World Heritage site. When you’ve had your fill of tasty food, temples and rice fields, end it all in Thailand’s Bangkok and raise a glass to a trip well-travelled!
This trip was made extraordinary by two absolutely outstanding guides, one in Cambodia (Sokchea) one in Vietnam (Truong). Their knowledge, communication skills, good humour, organisational skills and sheer passion for what they do was incredible. We arranged additional tours with our guides, and being able to depend on them for taking care of every detail, from supporting with transport arrangements, recommending and taking us to great local restaurants and evening shows, sometimes joining us for fun, ensuring that our access to sites of interest was smooth and hassle-free, whilst providing a fascinating and insightful perspective on history, culture and lifestyle. In Vietnam, Truong is an incredible asset to Explore: he went above and beyond his remit every day to ensure that everyone in our group had the best, most enjoyable experience. This was priceless, his energy and enthusiasm, and superb social skills ensured that this was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime. We learned so much, and genuinely shared laughter, food and good company. This Explore trip, due to the local guides, and wonderful company of our small group, totally exceeded our expectations.
Having a small group of 5, meant that we were able to get to know each other along the way too, and shared a lot of fun. We hugely enjoyed our “Happy Team” and hope we’ve made some new friends too.
Hotels were mostly great, some more basic but overall good, clean standards. Some excelled, like Cat Ba Paradise Hotel; only one was quite disappointing and a bit frustrating in their really inefficient check-in processes, Trang Hotel in Bangkok, which wasn’t helpful after long-haul journey. Otherwise, good accommodation and friendly helpful staff along the way.
One Life Philippines is all about unique experiences with a group of people looking for adventure. The Philippines is home to some of the best beaches and most spectacular islands in the world. The country's natural beauty only rivalled by the friendliness of its people and fascinating culture.
In this 10-day adventure, we will show you the best of the Palawan islands, an area largely untouched by tourism. We will be exploring jungles and cities, discovering the Puerto Princesa Underground River, greeting the rising sun from a private beach camp, and island hopping on a private boat.
See the itinerary section for more details about the trip.
This 15-day trip in Vietnam is surprisingly good! Even though I did a lot of research and watched a ton of videos about the places we were going to visit, Vietnam is still breathtakingly stunning. I really love Hoi An and its charming vibe. I would love to come back and see more of Vietnam. Besides that, I can't thank the team enough for arranging this tour – it was perfect. Definitely recommend!
A real Borneo adventure. Trek rainforest and jungle trails in search of wildlife such as Orangutan, ascend limestone pinnacles and climb Mt Kinabalu. This is Borneo as few ever experience it - a journey through ancient rainforests, Indigenous homelands and high mountain trails that reveals the wild heart of the island. Designed for active, curious travellers, this immersive Borneo trekking tour combines rich cultural connection, unique wildlife encounters and spectacular landscapes.
Beginning in Kuching, we explore Sarawak’s colonial past and Indigenous heritage before travelling deep into the forest by longboat to stay at the remote Nanga Sumpa longhouse. Here, we spend time with the Iban people and venture out on foot in search of orangutans, macaques and hornbills in their natural habitat. We continue upriver to jungle camps, swim in waterfalls and walk trails few others will ever access.
Next, we fly to Mulu National Park - home to one of the world’s largest cave systems and the dramatic limestone Pinnacles of Gunung Api. Trekking through pristine rainforest, we climb to a viewpoint overlooking these 45-metre (148-foot) high stone spires, rising sharply from the jungle below.
In Sabah, we ascend Mount Kinabalu (4095m/13,435ft), Borneo’s highest peak, trekking through ever-changing ecological zones — from lowland forest to alpine scrub - to witness sunrise above the clouds. The journey concludes on the Kinabatangan River, where dawn and dusk wildlife cruises offer sightings of proboscis monkeys, elephants and rare birdlife, all within one of Southeast Asia’s most biodiverse ecosystems.
Throughout the adventure, we stay in simple lodges and jungle camps, work with expert local guides and contribute to long-standing conservation and community-based tourism efforts. It’s an unforgettable multi-activity adventure - rich in biodiversity, culture and achievable challenges.

Relax under the stars and snorkel with turtles in Port Barton, float in the crystal-clear emerald waters and find yourself in awe of the majestic limestone cliffs in El Nido. Then catch a ferry to Coron, explore the hot springs, and have a free day for optional activities like scuba diving, before embarking on yet another island hopping trip. Swim in the some of the clearest lakes in the world and camp overnight on Pass Island.
