This is a fantastic tour that will get you off the beaten track. We hardly saw any other trekkers until Manang & Lake Tilicho. The pace of the trek was really thought out to assist with acclimatisation. The remote camping at the base camps & near Buddhist monastry’s was a highlight, as was the village & monastery of Phu. The tents were very spacious & the sleeping bag, fleece liner & jacket provided by World Expeditions were good quality & warm. I was happy to be camping near tea houses at times so we could use their dining area for meals, to play cards & to charge our devices (sometimes for a fee). I recommend taking a good book or two to enjoy the downtime in the afternoons.
Our guide Juddha was very experienced & really looked after us. All the crew worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly & to schedule. The included meals were plentiful & varied & there was always enough boiling water to fill our water bottles. I highly recommend this tour & would trek with World Expeditions again!
We enjoyed a wonderful trek and a very interesting tour of Kathmandu. Our guides were knowledgable and friendly, making for a great experience. We look forward to visiting this spectacular country again, and will take in one of Ace's longer treks next time.
We went on a 8 day trek to Jomsom/Muktinath. This trek has lost its popularity over the years because of the jeep road, making it easy to cover the distance by car. But that made the experience less touristic and more authentic for us. With on average 6 hours of hiking every day, the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri (2 of the 10 highest mountains in the world) were stunning.
The nature was blooming: Nepal's national flower Rhododendron was flowering in a beautiful dark red color, and we ate delicious, freshly picked Nepali oranges on the way.
The culture was most interesting: some of the architecture of the old villages we passed through made you feel like you were going back in time. Most of the people still work by hand. We saw women next to the road smashing large rocks into smaller ones using a hammer!
Special thanks to our guide Dev, who is very knowledgeable and caring, and porter/hero Nema, who saved my girlfriends hat which fell into a canyon after a strong wind caught it. We enjoyed every minute with them!

The Everest Base Camp and Gokyo trek is one of the best treks in Nepal. You will be overwhelmed by the awesome views of the world’s highest mountains including Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. The trekking route is designed in such a way that you will be able to make excursions to Gokyo lakes also; have short summit to the fantastic Gokyo Ri, and finally reach Mt. Everest base camp.
The Everest Base Camp via Gokyo lake begins by a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport, the entrance point of the Everest Region. We will also fly back from Lukla, when the trek ends.
You will be able to do this trek if you can walk up to 6 hours a day. There will be a couple of days for acclimatisation, where your body will also get some rest. If you are in doubt as to your physical fitness, please add a porter who can carry your backpack, when booking this package.
Ive travelled with 2 friends in Nov 2018 to a Expedition to EBC and Chola Pass, we had great time and I strongly recommend Exciting Nepal Agency. The agency was super organized since the booking, they did excellent planning (we had the first flights to arrive and leave from Lukla) what makes huge difference. They also adapt the tour according to our physical condition during the trip (altitude sickness). Our guide Shambuh, took care of everything, always check in on us, so we just needed to worry about walking, "Bistarei, Bistarei" We had such an unforgettable experience and with sure choosing Exciting Nepal made difference!
I completed the EBC trek with this local tour operator in October. From the beginning the company were excellent. They responded to all questions very quickly and clearly. They provided lots of extra information for me for my stay in Kathmandu. The guide on my trek, Raj, was excellent. He was great fun and had our safety as his first priority all the time. He kept us positive throughout and gave us clear information before each day of what would happen. The lodges we stayed in were exactly what we needed and the food throughout the trek was great. Our porters were also great fun and so kind. Raj was excellent at keeping everyone together and making sure that everybody was ok during the trek. We had a beautiful celebratory dinner once we had completed the trek, where we saw some traditional dancing and received plaques to remember our trek. The trek exceeded my expectations and I think a lot of that is down to Himalayan Recreation. I would highly recommend them for your trek!
Annapurna Circuit also known as Around Annapurna trekking is one of the popular and the most beautiful trekking routes in the Annapurna region. The trail takes along with two-mighty rivers namely Marsyangdi in the east and the Kaligandaki in the west, and takes one over the (5416m)-high Thorung La Pass. Annapurna Circuit Trekking begins from Ngadi or Jagat, some six hours drive from Kathmandu and then the trail takes to Dharapani, Chame and making a circuit to Pisang or Manang (3540 m) peak, along the route visitors will have scenic views of Annapurna II (7937m), III (7555m), IV (7525m), and Gangapurna (7455m) and making excursion to the area, return back to Manang village, the trail heads up to ledar (4030m), Thorong Phedi via thorong Pass (5416m), reaches to Muktinath (3800 m) Kagbeni (3100m) and finally at Jomsom (2770m) and fly back to Pokhara and subsequently to Kathmandu.
