Our 20-day tailor-made trip to Sri Lanka was truly unforgettable, largely thanks to our wonderful guide Lahiru. We had the pleasure of visiting some of the country's most famous national parks, including Wilpattu and Yala, and Lahiru's extensive knowledge of the wildlife, regions, and local cultures made the experience all the more enriching. He went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was a success, and we couldn't have asked for a more helpful and accommodating guide.
Throughout the planning process, Lahiru was extremely communicative and clear in his explanations of everything from airport pickup to lodging to costs. The lunches provided were delicious, with a warm lunch on the first day and quintessential 'boxed' lunches on subsequent days. The dinners were all buffet-style, but with plenty of options, including vegetarian.
Overall, we feel that our trip was worth every penny and would jump at the chance to do it all over again. Thank you, Lahiru, for an incredible Safari adventure!

Blissful Sri Lanka with Exceptional service. Sri Lanka with its endless beaches, oodles of elephants and flavourful food makes this beautiful country irresistible. My husband and I were extremely fortunate to spend 7 days in Sri Lanka, made fabulous with all the tour guides and arrangements made by Aitkin Spence. The itinerary, service, and attention to detail was nothing but exceptional! All tour guides were extremely knowledgeable always willing to answer any questions we had on all sorts of topics and also pointing out interesting things to see and sharing their wealth of knowledge on Sri Lanka. Both my husband and I had a few last minute changes to the itinerary and Aitken Spence staff were always happy to ensure our trip was memorable, always going above and beyond. Hotel stays and choices of restaurants for food were breathtakingly beautiful and we could no way have found them ourselves. We were accommodated for as a couple and our tour ended with a private elephant ride in the sunset and a romantic private dinner at a beautiful hotel amongst the tropical beauty of Sri Lanka. A special commendation to Nihaal for greeting us at the airport and showing us the hustle and bustle of Colombo, Malikante for warmly meeting us at our hotel to run through the itinerary and making us feel very welcome to Sri Lanka, and Deepthi for giving us memorable experiences with elephants (our favourites), this really made the trip . I am back at my office now after 12 days trekking and still dreaming with our trekking around Anapurnas :-) We were there the first 2 weeks in September and fortunately had only 2 days rain. The view, the landscapes, the mountains, the mountain refuges... everything was perfect! And special mention to our GREAT guide Pawan who was always paying attention to anything we needed! In April 2025 we set off on a trek with the aim of climbing Mera Peak. The journey took us a total of 16 days. The trek was very well organised, thanks to our great guide Chhiyang Banapish we always knew what to expect the next day, we always had enough water and food on the way, he always arranged good accommodation for us and togeher with the porter they took great care of our comfort and safety.
I really appreciate that we went the whole way with one guide, who managed to get to know us during that time (I do not recommend going with a trekking guide and changing guides in Khare, they do not know you, they do not know how you have fared on the trek up to that point). Our guide was very reliable, thanks to him and his proper guidance and sufficient acclimatisation, we managed to reach the summit, although I was tired, but he was able to motivate me and really accompany me to the summit. I would like to thank him and our porter very much, as well as the agency. I would definitely use their services again next time.

I went on the Manaslu trek in March 2020 arranged by the local tour sepcialists and had an amazing time! The mountain and nature scenery was breathtaking and a really memorable hike for me! Nepal is such an amazing country with such lovely people. I felt safe every moment of the trek and the company really takes care about everything. Starting with a pick up from the airport and welcome dinner, they will help you with every concern. It was absolutely no problem to travel alone as a woman. Nikesh was the best guide I could wish for, we had a really good time. He always wanted me to be happy and took care about me. So I can 100% recommend it, it was a breathtaking amazing trek I will never forget. Everytime again, best choice:)
