Our family of 5 adults recently went to Italy on a 9 day trip to Venice, Rome and Sorrento(Amalfi Coast) with private tours, fast train travel, door to door drivers, and great accommodations; which was all set up by Michael.
Michael was very responsive to my communications, very helpful with trip suggestions to make the trip better, and just overall a great travel planner! I was nervous at first, because I have never completely booked a vacation online without ever meeting the travel planner, but it all worked out great!
We were completely happy with everything about our trip, and will definitely reach out to Michael again when we travel to Italy! There were a couple of small issues that arose over the duration of the trip, but they were handled quickly and without further problem to us. So all was good.
Our private tour guides in Rome, Ornella; and Roberta in Pompeii were incredible. Our Venice tour guide, Cynthia, was awesome too, she did a great job! We did a full day 8 hr tour in Rome of the Colosseum and Vatican, and I would recommend splitting that to two half days if you have the time. It was awesome, but a bit much for one day!! Also, we had a full day Amalfi Coast tour by van, with great driver Antonio, which was supposed to go to Positano, Amalfi, & Ravello, but because the traffic is so bad on the roads, there wasn't time to make it to Ravello. So, I recommend either going by boat, which we hear is faster, or allow more time if you want to see all three villages.
Again, a great trip for the memory books! Thank you MIchael and all of the local operators who worked to make our trip such a success!!
Begin in the eternal city of Rome, where ancient wonders and art come alive. Wander through the historic heart, marveling at the Colosseum's grandeur and the Sistine Chapel's masterpieces. Then, journey south to the sun-kissed shores of Sorrento, a gateway to the enchanting Amalfi Coast. Drive along the coast's serpentine roads, with azure waters on one side and quaint villages on the other. From the ancient ruins of Pompeii to the vibrant streets of Positano, this 7-day tour offers a rich tapestry of experiences. Dive deep into Italy's soul and leave with memories that will last a lifetime
We saw so much of Europe and it was wonderful. A couple of more days in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria would have added so much. My wife and I still enjoyed this trip enormously.
Everything from the hotel check-in to the daily tours was seamless. I appreciated how organized the tour was. Capri, Sorrento, and Pompeii were each impressive in their own way. Great value and unforgettable memories!
This is an excellent tour well up to the high standards expected from explore. It's helped by the places you visit being full of interesting buildings, historical artefacts, beautiful scenery and superb leaders and guides.
This was a great trip. The leader, Manny (Mahnai), was excellent. The accommodations, while not high-end, were certainly adequate, especially considering you will be spending very little time at the hotel. The places we visited were all beautiful and the food was amazing. The highlight was probably the private boat tour to Capri. One thing to be aware of: there is a lot of walking involved, at least on a few days of the trip. Nothing too physically taxing, but you will put in some kilometers on certain days.
From the canals of Venice to ancient Rome and a scenic cruise to the Isle of Capri, this is real Italy at its finest.
