We recently went on a 4 night tour with the tour operator starting on Monday 6th May. We flew into Liberia. Our guide was named Pablo and our bus driver named Mr Campbell. Both of them were absolutely fantastic. Pablo immediately made us feel at ease and explained everything very thoroughly and was very understanding of a member of the tour group who was travel sick. The tour was very well organised and the bus was always on time and was driven very carefully, we saw many other tourist buses being driven much less cautiously! We thouroughly enjoyed our trip and Pablo and Mr Campbell really helped with this so please can you pass on our appreciation to them.

I had not been on holiday for over a decade before I embarked on this trip, so suffice to say I had high expectations! Costa Rica had been on my list ever since a colleague visited the country two years ago, and it was well worth the wait. We were fortunate enough to only have eight travellers, which meant that our guide, Jonathan, had ample time to answer all of our questions. If you are looking for a holiday which will give you eight hours of sleep a night then this trip is not for you. We were up for breakfast before 8am every day and despite there being several optional extra activities listed on the trip notes, we didn't have time to do any of them as we were constantly on the go! I felt as though I was away for six months or more, and I enjoyed moving to a new area of the country every few days. Each hotel we stayed at had a different style suited to the area of the country we were in - rainforest lodge, spa resort, mountain hotel, ranch, beach hotel. The food was wonderful - all breakfasts are included and on the days when our lunch and/or dinner weren't included, we never felt hungry.

We had a great trip! Accommodation ranged from good to excellent. Breakfasts were included but some early departures resulted in them being missed. Transfers were good and on time. Andres at the tour operator responded quickly to our questions and solved a few problems for us. The itinerary was great. Although Santa Theresa was hard to get to (rough roads, long drive) it was fun to see. You get to see a lot of Costa Rica on this trip.

Overall the trip was good. However, it would have been nice to have stayed an extra day at the eco-lodge Selva Verde, as a day off rather than at La Fortuna which was a tourist town. The trip was suppose to be a wildlife tour. There was only the need for one day at La Fortuna, so very disappointing missed out on Selva Verde. The accommodation at La Fortuna was awful, more of a motel, very disappointing not even near a wildlife area, very disappointing. Otherwise, the other hotels were very nice. Our tour leader Walter, excellent, very entertaining, organised, informative, and efficient everyone liked Walter. Also our Bus driver, Randy, very thoughtful about his passengers, an excellent driver, considering the conditions he had to drive in, and also he kept the bus clean, and tidy. Very impressed, little things.
