Hello, my name is Jean Carlo and I'm a Costa Rican travel specialist who loves playing drums and a good cup of coffee, but my main interest has always been to travel and have new experiences. I enjoy simple things in life like hiking in the mountains or watching the sunset at the beach, but also some extreme activities like rappeling and ziplining. I grew up in Dota, a tourist town in San Jose, Costa Rica, that produces one of the best coffees in the world. Ever since I was a child, I have had a huge interest in nature and exploring hidden places in the mountains. Following my love for nature, I studied tourism in high school and university. Now, I have been actively involved in touristic activities for a decade and continue to be motivated to do so with the “pura vida” spirit.

Adventure and cultural activities are my specialty; I have a degree in sustainable tourism. My goal is to create a perfectly balanced experience between mountain, beach and Costa Rican culture — including destinations that show how to appreciate and take care of our natural environment, while also seeing the highlights and the best of what Costa Rica has to offer.

Jean Carlo's Best Travel Experience

I remember the first time I visited Irazú and Turrialba volcanoes here in Costa Rica. I felt so small compared to them but at the same time, I was so excited to experience the beauty of the volcanoes, the wildlife and nature. After visiting the volcanoes, we went to Puerto Viejo in Limón, where our day finished on the beach, playing some music with the sunset in the background. It was an unforgettable experience for me.
