Cycle along the Vltava River from Cesky Krumlov to Prague to discover the medieval marvels and cultural hotspots of Bohemia. Pedal your way through South Bohemia, starting in the storybook town of Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that feels like stepping into the past. Ride alongside the gentle flow of the Vltava River and explore quiet country roads that wind through lush forests and villages steeped in medieval history. Along the way, discover Ceske Budejovice – home to the original Budweiser beer – and cross the Czech Republic’s oldest stone bridge in Pisek. Take in the views from Zvíkov Castle perched high above two rivers, and visit the 16th century pilgrimage Church of the Virgin Mary on Saint Mountain. It’s a relaxed yet rewarding ride, full of culture, scenery, and surprises in one of Europe’s less-travelled corners.

Good tour which provided a “taster” experience of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague. I plan to make further 2-3 day city break visits to some of these cities in the future.

We enjoyed this self guided cycling trip from Prague to Vienna. Accommodation was fantastic, the bikes great and the terrain a mix of forest, cycle paths and quiet country roads. At the end of each day we had UNESCO listed towns to explore. All the details were taken care of. Thank you!

Starting in Frankfurt, this guided tour weaves through historic towns and vibrant cities before culminating in the fairy-tale ambiance of Prague. The unique selling point is the seamless transition from Germany’s storied landscapes to the architectural splendor of Prague—offering mature travelers a rich, leisurely journey through Central Europe.
We saw a lot on the trip. The itinerary gave a good taste of Prague, Germany and Amsterdam. This gave us an idea of where we would like to return for a longer visit. Our guide and driver were excellent and the bus was new, so very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had a large, loud group on board who did not feel the need to listen to the guide. This made it difficult for others to hear her and get the information she was giving us throughout the tour. The hotels were located a long way from the tourist areas so did not make it easy to get around on your own if you chose to do so. The hotels, while not 5 star, were very clean and had decent amenities. We only had breakfast and they were pretty good, some better than others.
Get your wheels moving on a cycling adventure through the Central European countryside, all the way from picturesque Prague to classic Vienna. This eight-day cycling trip meanders its way past medieval villages perched on the hillside and hugs the mighty Danube River. With delicious regional food, great wine, and a knowledgeable leader to guide you along the way, you’ll be seeing the best of the region with the wind blowing through your hair.
