Overall a great experience in the jungle. The accommodation was very clean with no insects in the room - my biggest worry in advance. The excursions are great and depending on the weather adventurous. But that is whag I was looking for when booking this trip!
In this colorful tour, you will be able to enjoy the fantastic places that the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the southern part of Cusco have. This was an excellent trip in every way. The leader Alejandro was outstanding- very caring, helpful , informative and well-organised. Peru is a varied and interesting country and although Machu Picchu was spectacular there were many other highlights to our tour. The itinerary covered a lot of ground but it was not too rushed with a good mix of organised activities and some free time. The transport by bus and train was comfortable and the hotels were good and well-situated.

Salkantay Trek is a popular alternative to the very-crowded classic Inca Trail. It offers more distance, more mountains, more scenery, and a wider variety of landscapes, but still concludes with a visit to the iconic city of Machu Picchu. As the route does not have as many regulations as the Inca Trail, this also means that it can provide a “back door” trek to Machu Picchu when Inca Trail permits are sold out. This new itinerary, Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu via Llaqtapata, includes the highlights of the other Salkantay trek, but avoids many of the areas that are becoming crowded with other trekkers.
This trip is fully-inclusive, including a guide, accommodation, meals and transportation.
Duration: 5 days/4 nights

What a great trip, with the highlights being Rainbow mountain, Lake Titicaca and the best of all, hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. I feel I have really been able to delve into Peru and now know much more about the country, the people and their cultural beliefs. The trip was very well organised, supported by our excellent guide Julio. Julio was so knowledgeable on all aspects of Peru and shared so many interesting facts about the local areas we visited. The trip ran very smoothly and we felt safe and well looked after through out. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt Julio went above and beyond with his insightful information and organisation, such as booking us great restaurants and the archeological sites we toured.
The Peruvian food was amazing, so colourful, tasty and well presented. All the accommodations were clean and in good areas. The porter team supporting our Inca trek were amazing, friendly, efficient and the service and food they provided was very good.
