The accommodation, the tour leader and the driver were very good. Interactions with indigenous people was a highlight as was the visits to spectacular places in Kakadu’s, Jabiru and the gorges.
The tour director was articulate and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave all tour participants access to understanding aspects of country, indigenous care of country understandable and indigenous culture and this made the tour for me, an excellent life experience.
Accomodation was in the main excellent, especially in Jabiru.

Great trip. Seeing the remoteness of the N and W of Tasmania contrasted with the very different side on the NE and S.
Waking up in Cradle Mountain to snow and freezing temperatures will remain a highlight of the trip, closely followed by Launceston’s Cataract Gorge optional cruise which included a wine tasting! Very difficult to select highlights!
I like the fact that Margaret, the very knowledgable guide, gave us a variety of information on the history including convict background to Sarah Island and Port Arthur, human geography, agriculture etc and makes the area really come alive.
Western Australia is colourful whatever time of year you visit. It has pink lakes, blindingly white beaches, turquoise lagoons… But the rainbow hues are next level when wildflowers blanket national parks and botanic gardens. Expect some seriously pretty excursions on this wildflower tour of Western Australia from Perth. I must say that I throughly enjoyed my South Western Escape tour with AAT Kings bus company. Why, you say? Well… let’s start with the people they employ. People like Margaret, our tour guide and Mark, our driver. Such professional people who ensure the comfort and quality of the tour is their number one priority. Nothing was too big or small a request for these two to get right in there and give a helping hand. Then there’s the bus itself! Modern, clean and comfortable, with wide windows for picture taking and I shouldn’t forget the charging ports on board. Videos that relate to particular steps are shown to increase your awareness of what is coming up.
Great accomodation, comfortable, clean, that are well positioned in the towns and cities you visit. There is a variety of meals to be had and every one of them were of a good standard and quality. Lastly, and it is by no means last, is the itinerary, which is really the reason that you wanted to go in the first place. Everything down to the last item is timed perfectly and meticulously planned. The information provided is most interesting and I found myself listening with baited breathe. There’s only one thing wrong that I can mention and that’s the last evening meal together. It means that you have to say good bye to the friends you’ve made along the way. However, sometimes, like me, you may meet up again with them on the next AAT trip that you take!
