Western Australia’s magic unfolds on the South Western Escape—a 10-day beach-focused trip beginning in Perth and ending in Fremantle. This tour package delivers a perfect mix: city life in Perth and Fremantle, rolling vineyards in Margaret River, wild natural parks, and endless beaches. Explore the dramatic landscapes of Esperance and Albany, marvel at Wave Rock, and taste local wines in Margaret River. Designed for experienced travelers, the tour stands out for its diversity—offering city culture, outback adventure, and coastal relaxation all in one unforgettable journey.
Mark (our Driver) and Margaret (our Tour Guide) were both friendly, efficient and helpful. However, there was too much in too few days in the distances travelled. Half a day and evening at a Winery in Margaret River was inadequate as was Kalgoorlie which is more than a great hole in the ground and one remaining brothel. The first day was wasted as we did not depart until early afternoon for a tour of Perth and a "Welcome" Dinner... this could have been accomplished had we left in the morning and arrived at somewhere en route of the tour. I am not the only person not impressed with breakfast and bags on the bus at 6 am... definitely not suitable for octogenerians
I must say that I throughly enjoyed my South Western Escape tour with AAT Kings bus company. Why, you say? Well… let’s start with the people they employ. People like Margaret, our tour guide and Mark, our driver. Such professional people who ensure the comfort and quality of the tour is their number one priority. Nothing was too big or small a request for these two to get right in there and give a helping hand. Then there’s the bus itself! Modern, clean and comfortable, with wide windows for picture taking and I shouldn’t forget the charging ports on board. Videos that relate to particular steps are shown to increase your awareness of what is coming up. Great accomodation, comfortable, clean, that are well positioned in the towns and cities you visit. There is a variety of meals to be had and every one of them were of a good standard and quality. Lastly, and it is by no means last, is the itinerary, which is really the reason that you wanted to go in the first place. Everything down to the last item is timed perfectly and meticulously planned. The information provided is most interesting and I found myself listening with baited breathe. There’s only one thing wrong that I can mention and that’s the last evening meal together. It means that you have to say good bye to the friends you’ve made along the way. However, sometimes, like me, you may meet up again with them on the next AAT trip that you take! Don’t wait, join an AAT Kings bus holiday today as you’ll never be this young again in your life! I did and I had a ball. Mrs. Elisabeth MacPherson.
Accomodation was very good. Experience I wouldn't recommend this trip to any of my friends and family, unless they had more daylight hours to enjoy the places of interest. I would suggest March, not May because we were going through towns at dusk and couldn't see anything after travelling all day on the bus. It was so disappointing as I spent many years looking forward to seeing along the southern coast. On a more pleasant note, I loved Albany, Busselton and Fremantle because we had more time available to explore.
