We had a great Tour Director who knew her stuff. I was disappointed with the lead up organisation and the Vibe in Darwin which was not a good start. Fortunately, once we left Darwin the program was great and we saw heaps of places and narrative we would not have gained making our own way. It was also very comfortable travelling in a near new bus with someone else driving. Kakadu was amazing as there had been recent rain. The Katherine gorge was special and it went on with Matta Ingka hot springs, Devils Marbles, lunch at Daly River, Alice Springs, Eyres Rock, Olga's and much more. It was interesting seeing the difference in scenery from the tropics through to desert. I would have given an excellent except for the Darwin experience. Another let down was the lack of name badges, as they make it much easier to socialise with other members of the trip.
Excellent trip that was well worth the experience! We valued highly the thoughtful journey along with the excursions. The value as we saw it was that we knew would be excited each day to go along with program that had been planned knowing we were in expert hands. The team certainly keep you both informed and entertained to the point that all we had to do was to relax, sit back and let the trip wash over us and enjoy the company of the other travellers as well as our expert leader and driver. The opportunity to see and do all that we did made it an experience that we shall treasure always. This trip Darwin to Uluru was both memorable and as we saw it of great value in so many ways. Yes we will when the time is right take other trips with AAT Kings because for us our bucket list has expanded knowing we will certainly enjoy tripping around with them!
The NT Explorer trip from AAT/Kings was good value and we found the trip to be both interesting, informative and a lot of fun. The TD Christin and the driver Macca were excellent and particularly with Christin, her knowledge of the areas visited was terrific and nothing was too much trouble, she would go out of her way to make sure all aspects of a successful and enjoyable trip was had by all on board. It was also with a smaller group of 21 passengers which enhanced the whole experience. We have been on other AAT/Kings tours and also travelled with sister company Trafalgar and can certainly recommend their professional attitude and attention to detail, and look forward to our next adventure.
