Kayaking in remote parts of Fiji with very few tourists around meant our experience was special and authentic.
The guides were awesome. The food was fabulous with fish being caught and cooked that night for dinner.
Conditions were challenging but within the capabilities of the group. Kayaking experience definitely necessary for this one.
The snorkelling was a treat, and swimming with mantas at our end destination magical.
I didn't want it to end.

We did and saw alot. Lei was excellent. She was always very upbeat and very informative. I wish we had extra time in cairns and Queenstown. Also we did the Fuji extension and it should be so you don't have to get out of room until time to leave for airport. It spoiled the last day there.

Very friendly welcome, thorough briefing for all the activities. Roomy tents at base camp on Tavewa Island. Bubbly and pre-dinner snacks at sunset on the beach! The "kokoda" was 1st class!
All the kayaking equipment was in top condition including all the safety gear. Never felt rushed. Lovely stay at Tavutoa village with local dance and singing performers finishing with good kava.
Smiles wherever we went. Great snorkelling spots as well. Tasty and plentyful food always.

My wife and I have been on several trips with the Trafalgar group (AAT Kings / Insight / Trafalgar). We have not had a bad experience yet. The travel directors were like personal concierges to us. Our travel directors, Tony and Marty, were fantastic people. Funny, professional and helpful. Bus drivers were excellent, optional experiences were great. The intinerary was thorough and well paced - leaving a wee bit of down time to rest and do some things on our own. Our Tour Director was friendly and knowledgeable - making the journey even more enjoyable. The accomodations were all excellent - especially the hotels in Melbourne and Sydney.

Our itinerary was one that fluctuated due to changing venues and plan of schedules. did a good job trying to get us the best experiences though. I only had one concern that put a small damper on my trip. Trafalgar won’t let you gain access to excursions until we are in the country. This time several of the items were full and I was unable to go. It just seems to me if you publish an excursion as an option then it should be available. kept saying, •its Easter break”. Well the holiday didn’t change so if Trafalgar and its travel guides anticipate a problem on holiday weekend then don’t use that time line to plan a trip of a lifetime. This is also the first time the travel director didn’t attend all excursions. She stayed back at the hotel a few times and left us with the driver. Overall, I had a great time and met some wonderful people. I have used Trafalgar three times and will continue to do so.
