Too many items in the itinerary. Hard too take in everything… more time needed to relax…it’s supposed to be a vacation.
The trip was really good. We were able to see A LOT of Southern Austrailia and do various different activities also. For me, and I truly believe others on this trip would agree due to their private conversations, it was TOO much driving, and way too much regimented time. Once we were in a location we barely had enough time to see the place, find a place to eat (quickly) and do any browsing or shopping. The bus travel was VERY taxing on the body and many of us complained about being uncomfortable and/or body aches. Each day was a bit different and it was always confusing in regard to the actual time of activities ( breakfast, leaving, do we have to leave the key at the front desk, etc.etc.) I am glad I took this trip, but honestly if I had of known the amount of DAILY time on a bus (for hours) and the strict TIME frame, I would NOT have chosen this trip.
(tour leader) and (coach driver) were exceptional. They were welcoming, informative, and a great team. Highlight of the trip was Kangaroo Island where we got to see sea lions, kangaroos, emus, and other Australian wildlife up close. Also enjoyed the sheep station visit where we learned about sheep shearing and wool classification and enjoyed a wonderful Australian barbie. The Great Ocean Road was beautiful. Only thing I would change is the 3 wine tastings. These should be optional. I would have rather spent my time seeing more wildlife and places of interest.
I would consider the activity level as Easy, no long walks or many stairs, Very nice to see. Great hotels, all of them. Superb female Duo (director, and driver). phenomenal and delicious meals.
