20 Adventure Trips in Northern Europe with 85 Reviews
This was my favorite trip among the dozens of trips I have taken with various tour companies. Our host Lars was amazing - he deeply cares about the environment and is extremely knowledgeable about nature and history and full of patience for those of us that aren't as skilled as others on forest skis or snowshoes. Coming from a warm climate, I was a tad concerned about getting cold but the winter clothes they provided kept me nice and warm even when it got down to -30C (admittedly I did wear 2 levels of thermals underneath). The accommodations were delightful - cozy cabins, great food, toasty sauna. The beauty of this area is hard to describe - one of my fellow group members said it reminded her of Narnia, which seems about right. The air was so clean. The vibe was always so calm. I came home feeling so rested while also knowing I got my share of exercise. For me, the exercise level was perfect. I am not at my fittest but the level of intensity on this trip was perfect for me. I definitely earned my dessert calories.
See the Northern Lights from Scandinavia's breathtaking mountaintops on this 10-day tour of Helsinki, Alta and Oslo. Journey through Finnish Lapland—250 km above the Arctic Circle to Ivalo, the Gateway to the North. From the comfort of your cosy cabin in Aurora Village, gaze out through the glass roof as the lights of the aurora borealis dance above. Cross the Finnish-Norwegian border to North Cape and sample caviar in Europe’s northernmost point, before a once-in-a-lifetime visit to a working husky farm. Here you will meet the Arctic dog-sled racing Alta huskies—a world-famous champion dog sledding team, before stopping in Tromsø, where the Indigenous Sámi community invites you to help feed their reindeer herd. The vacation draws to a close on the scenic, once-Viking, shores of the Oslofjord.
We had a brilliant trip in July seeing the wonderful Baltic countries. The weather was very kind, the group and our guide wonderful. We all learnt so much about the hard and dramatic history the Baltic countries have experienced and their hard won independence.
The entire trip was excellent from beginning to end. Spending 2 days in each city was a godsend. Each of the side tours were very informative with knowledgeable guides. There was good free time. The cruise was very nice along with cabin and free buffet. All the women on the tour mixed very well and I would highly recommend more women only tours. I would recommend this tour as is to any woman eager to travel and feel safe.
A really great experience visiting Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Our guide Mads was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, giving detailed info for every location we visited, as well as being attentive and kind. The Fjords are amazing, as well as the Flam Railway but then everything we did was enjoyable!
We had such a great bunch of people in our small group of 11.
Would highly recommend this trip, absolutely no negatives!
I really enjoyed the tour overall. I made new friends and never imagined that joining a tour solo could be this much fun. From day one, we have breakfast and dinner together, and I felt connected to the group right away. I was initially hesitant about doing the Via Ferrata, but the support and motivation from my teammates made it a truly special experience. Thank you for this unforgettable and unique adventure!
Venabu is a great addition to the Exodus brochure. Good range of skiing, great leaders, effective instruction, very good hotel. This would also be a good base for some overnught(s) in the huts that are within reach. A must do trip!
A magical trip of discovery through Iceland. The group of people I shared this holiday with also made it a fun holiday full of amazing memories. A land of fire and ice, myths and legends not to be forgotten.
What a fantastic trip. Iceland is so full of natural wonder its hard to know what to highlight. The first thing is our guide; a passionate Icelander who brought everything to life and told us all about the detail we might otherwise miss.
We saw blue sky, sunshine and a dusting of snow for the first 3 days then overcast and finally rain and blasts of strong wind. Nothing the weather could throw at us could marr the beauty and splendour of Iceland.
Everything from dormant and dead volcanic craters, thermal baths, glaciers and their iceburgs, larva fields, waterfalls....the list goes on and on.
Lastly, the public - open air - swimming pools and their hot tubs are a must. They refresh you, offer you the chance to wind down and relax and are absolutely wonderful. Do go!
We saw the lights several times. Our tour guide Robby knew where to go to see them so we were always successful. The itinerary looks us to very interesting places to learn about the people and history of the island. I highly recommend it.

I had a fantastic experience! The hikes through the untouched landscapes of Eastern Iceland were truly a highlight. Kudos to our CEO Mike, whose deep knowledge of the region and passion for hiking made the tour very enjoyable—and allowed us to experience some truly breathtaking nature. The sense of community within our group and having a “home base” in Bakkageroi made the experience even more special.
