We really enjoyed this comprehensive tour of Vietnam. Including time in more rural areas as well as the well known cities and sites, it gave us a great insight into local culture and there was plenty of opportunity to meet the locals who were incredibly friendly. The trip ran seemlesly in the extremely capable hands of our tour leader Diem, one of the best we've had (this was our 6th family holiday with Explore). Highlights would include all of the bike rides, exploring Tam Coc caves by boat, Saigon by cyclo, the amazing food, so fresh and plentiful, and the kids loved haggling for bargains in the markets and shops (especially Hoi An). Accommodation and transport were both of a great standard. Well done Explore!

This tour was such a great way to explore both Vietnam and Cambodia without stressing over planning everything ourselves. It started in Saigon... super lively and full of energy. The Cu Chi Tunnels were very intriguing.. it’s wild to imagine how people lived down there. One of my favorite parts was the boat ride on the Mekong River.. saw floating marktes. Hoi An was hands down the most charming place on the trip with lanterns everywhere, cute cafes and lovely shopping.. I bought silk scarves and handmade lanterns. Hanoi had a completely different vibe, like more historic and chilled. We spent a day just walking around the lakes and old town. Ha Long Bay was unforgettable.. saw limestone cliffs, wow! The Cambodia part was shorter but still amazing. Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom were mind-blowing.. Overall this tour was well and everything from the hotels to the food and transport was taken care of. It’s a lot to fit in but if you’re looking for an adventure across two beautiful countries.

The Vietnam leg of this tour starts in the busy capital city of Hanoi, taking in its unique street food cuisine and marveling at its century-old architecture. We can join the local's for some early morning Tai Chi before we board a traditional junk boat, exploring the stunning limestone, rainforest islands in Halong Bay. An overnight sleeper train takes us to Hue City, before we explore the ancient town of Hoi An, taking in its traditional architecture and browsing through its villages famed for its carpentry and pottery trade. After spending some time in Hoi An, we'll take a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon as it's popularly known as, which serves as the business hub of Vietnam. It's here where'll enjoy one of the main highlights of our Vietnam holiday - a vintage Vespa tour through the bustling city, where we'll try its unique eats, drinks and enjoy some live entertainment. Our last activity in Vietnam takes us to the Mekong Delta, where we'll spending some time with a local fisherman and his family. Here, we'll try to catch Elephant ear fish and learn how to cook traditional Vietnamese meals. We'll travel back to Ho Chi Minh city, as we cross the border to Cambodia's capital of Phnom Penh, as we visit the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Our time in Phnom Penh also sees us visit the Royal Palace, its Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. After spending time in Phnom Penh, we'll head to Siem Reap, as we journey into the Kulen Mountains for an overnight stay with a local family who will guide us to waterfalls and animal statues in its surrounding forest, before visiting the temples of Angkor Wat and the jungle temple of Ta Prohm. Finally we head out on an evening street food walk through Siem Reap's Pub Street - famed for its food stalls, cafes, restaurants, and friendly bars and pubs.

What made this trip really special was how different each day felt. One day we were walking through old temples, the next we were sailing on a quiet bay. Vietnam was full of surprises. The people were friendly, the food was amazing, and every place had something new to offer. Ha Long Bay was a real highlight. The boat ride through those tall limestone rocks felt peaceful and looked like something from a movie. Even the meals on the boat were great! I also liked how we didn’t just rush from place to place. There was time to look around, take pictures, and enjoy it all. Hoi An was beautiful with all the lanterns, and Hue had some really interesting history. Our guide explained everything in a simple and fun way, which made it more enjoyable. Then we went to Singapore, and it felt like getting into the future. It was super clean and modern, but still full of culture. The Gardens by the Bay were stunning, especially at night. Everything on this tour ran butter smooth, the flights, the hotels, the transport. It was easy to relax and enjoy. Already thinking of booking a Korea tour. Really impressed by how they manage things!
