It was more than a holiday. It was an adventure. So exciting to visit a country that is still emerging but accessible enough to explore so much of. Itinerary was full and varied but not exhausting. Gradual 'feed' of information from our own guide and others on route reinforced by visits to sites. Group size sensibly restricted. Living out of a suitcase not as daunting as expected as this enabled us to see so much more. Enough time allotted for most places except might have been better to have had more time in Berat and a brief stop in Durres.

I really enjoyed this trip. It provided the right blend of organisation and flexibility to suit my preferences. All of the hotels were excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. When I needed support, the response was swift. The walking instructions were usually clear and the downloaded GPX files allowed me to double-check when I was unsure. Traveling solo can be overwhelming, but the team made me feel safe, seen, and taken care of throughout the 9 days. Every detail was handled with care, from airport pickup to checking in at luxury hotels and the cruise.
My guide, Hany, was simply the best. He had a deep understanding of Egypt’s history, answered all questions with enthusiasm, and shared local insights you won’t find in books. The trip felt intimate and real, especially in Nubia and Abu Simbel where we connected with locals.
The Nile cruise was peaceful and elegant, the food was fresh and delicious, with options for vegetarians too. Staff were warm and generous, always offering help with a smile.
I left Egypt not just with beautiful memories, but with a sense of connection. This wasn’t a cookie cutter tour, it was crafted with heart.

Arrangements were efficient, the hotel was lovely, the reception and meal on
arrival was most welcoming.
Walking was as brochure said and the town/suburbs was abundant with flowering
plants.
Evening meals easily available at very reasonable prices.
The guide was full of interesting information about the historical context of
the island.
As ever the greatest fun was meeting the excellent other holiday makers!
The hotel were very attentive to providing me with "gluten free" meals.
