What a great trip! Full on. Some long days. But what a way to tick off things on your bucket list. The accommodation was as expected, mixed: querky, comfortable and, at worst, indifferent. Eating out was excellent and not too expensive. We chose the trip because of the itinerary, which was brought to life at every stage by our guide who was one of the best we have had on any trip. I have used them twice now, and both times have been amazing. The first time was for my honeymoon in Thailand and Cambodia (2017). We were able to tailor everything to our needs and even upgraded to fancier hotels and excursions we wanted without an issue. All the guides were wonderful and everything was seamless. The second time we went to Peru/Bolivia (2019), which was new to them at the time. They put together a wonderful trip that had only very minor hiccups - a couple of times we had to reach out to figure out who our guide was for the next day and get pick up times, or our guide info was incorrect. This was all due to them not having planned trips in South America yet, so it was a learning curve for them. They have since added basically our trip to their website. All in all, I will absolutely keep using them for our trips.

I compared multiple small group tours and, for the equivalent price, Explore is much better value. The hotels are better, the entry fees (which can really add up!) are all included, private comfortable minibus (no public transport) the entire trip, free airport shuttle if arriving or departing on the day the tour starts/ends. As advertised, the itinerary was jam packed and rated "full on" : that suited me, as I wanted to see as much as possible in a short amount of time. It is recommended that you book a few days on your own in Istanbul, as there's a lot to see. The hotels were comfortable and centrally located with a couple of fancy ones included. Breakfast was substantial in all hotels.. enough to keep you fueled for most of the day. My only minor complaint is the guide often suggested expensive tourist restaurants. I found cheaper, tastier and more authentic eateries on my own by doing prior research. One thing I really did like about this tour is that there were no forced shopping stops which are so prevalent with other tour companies. I would definitely consider Explore! Worldwide in the future!
