Brilliant cycling holiday, with a fantastic group. Erwin , our leader made sure we were all happy, arranged accommodation, transport , evening meals and the cycling route. The bikes were excellent, cycling paths mostly traffic free or very quiet roads. Highly recommend this Explore cycling adventure.

Good cycling on varied terrain; canal path for first day; country roads, cycling by the sea, dirt tracks, sandy tracks, woodland paths, all doable and fun. Lovely scenery, lots of history, beautiful old buildings and D-Day beaches Omaha and Juno and the museums to bring it to life. Very moving.
This was the first time that this trip had been run using E-bikes, so everyone was keen to see how the trip would unfold. We were introduced to our bikes on the first evening, and because of a change of hotel we had the opportunity to cycle into Monopoli, and return in the dark after an amazing first meal. When I checked the itinerary I could see that the first two rides were going to be the most challenging in terms of ascent and distance, but I quickly realised that E-bikes are a great leveller. There are four levels of assistance, with turbo being the most powerful. The motor rewards effort, the faster you peddle, the more assistance it gives you, up to its maximum speed - these bikes are not chipped like the delivery cycles that whizz around around our streets bringing takeaways to the masses. Each person in the group decided how much effort to put in, getting up the many hills, but hats off to the one person in the group who rode the whole way on an ordinary bike . . . . and he was not at the back. Respect!! With uphills come downhills, and there were plenty of those. Long sweeping downhills that went on and on. Great fun. We were well fed and watered on this trip, both at lunchtime and in the evenings, and for the most part the weather behaved itself.
Deep in the heart of Turkey Kapadokya, ancient volcanic eruptions dispersed thick ash, which solidified into a soft rock—called tuff—tens of metres thick. Wind and water went to work on this plateau creating a fairy tale landscape of cones, pillars, pinnacles, mushrooms, and chimneys. Thousands of years ago, humans took a cue from Mother Nature carved tunnels into the soft rock, and an underground urbanized landscape was created, living at one with nature rather than imposing upon it.
This moderate mountain biking tour is a journey of adventure and discovery, taking to a network of little used dirt roads and not too technical single track MTB trails as it winds its way across the region – including the Ihlara Canyon, Soganli Valley, and the “Fairy Chimney” landscape that stretches from Mustafapasa to Goreme.
Combining the best of remote, wilderness off road adventure biking with plenty of sights, sounds and new experiences along the way. Recommended additional activity in Goreme: Discover Cappadocia from a different perspective by hopping on a hot air balloon ride. Enjoy the beautiful scenery while drifting leisurely over the region's fairy chimneys, stunning rock formations and picturesque valleys. Contact us for more information.
From the climbs framed by snow-dusted peaks of the High Atlas to sweeping descents into palm-lined oases, this 10-day tour is for cyclists who love a good hill with an even better view. For cyclists who relish a ride that challenges and rewards in equal measure. Our Road Cycling Morocco: Atlas to Atlantic ride is all about the cols, the authentic culture, the camaraderie and of course, the epic scenery.
Arrive in lively and exotic Marrakesh and start things off by sampling two staples of this tour: views of the Atlas mountains in the distance, and renowned Moroccan hospitality at our traditional riad accommodation. The cycling begins just outside the city, in the foothills of the Atlas, to test the legs and get a feel for the terrain before climbing into the stunning High Atlas. Enjoy the fresh air, spectacular views, and authentic local culture and hospitality in the remote villages along the way.
Head further into Berber territory of the Anti-Atlas, as the landscape becomes drier and dotted with otherworldly rock formations, canyons, and hidden desert oases. Fantastic cycling awaits in the arid hills around Tafraout, Morocco's almond-growing regions, and paradisical valleys along the path to the Atlantic Coast. The climbs don't come easy, but the views, the experience, and the descents are worth it. Celebrate the journey in ancient Essaouira by the sea, before travelling back to Marrakesh for a final taste of Moroccan culture.
Located on the north-westernmost stretch of Africa and a gateway to Europe, Morocco is one of the most vibrant cultural and commercial crossroads of the continent. In the saddle explore Morocco's rugged hills and valleys of the Atlas Mountains. Venture into these highlands inhabited by the Berbers and be delighted by their proud traditions that have been passed down for millennia.
Visitors who choose to explore the country will be impressed by its architectural and natural splendours, making Morocco a prime desert destination and also hotspot for Hollywood's film industry as several all-time classic movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia were shot here. Explore this dynamic country and get the ultimate biking experience Morocco has to offer.
Roll and pedal up and down the sea of red massifs and take in the captivating views of snow-capped peaks just a few miles further from the unforgiving desert, a contrasting picture of unparalleled beauty.
Five days of biking take you through the realm of the legendary Atlas Mountains, the bone-dry Jbel Saghro and the life-sustaining oases and lush palm plantations of southern Morocco, making it a challenging yet rewarding biking experience.

This was my fifth Explore holiday - the fourth cycling tour I’ve done - and they’ve all been so good I’ve had no hesitation in booking with you again. I think the stand-out feature of each tour has been the guides we’ve had on each trip - they’ve all been excellent without exception and have dedicated every waking moment of each tour to making sure each has run perfectly and participants are happy. Our guide in Puglia - Massimo - was great. He was always cheerful, encouraging, kept us well informed of plans and was very knowledgeable about the region. He also took excellent photos and videos of our trip which he was happy to share. Great memories of an excellent holiday!

I have just got home from my cycle holiday in the Loire. It exceeded my expectations. The guide Pierre, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The bikes were good. The cycle paths were all excellent, a few quiet roads, I did not feel nervous or over challenged. There was variety and plenty of visits to Chateau’s, vineyards and wine tasting. The picnic lunches were all very French, which is all part of the experience, and Thomas made wonderful choices of where we had them. The level of cycling was accurate. The distances were comfortable. I will certainly be looking for my next trip with Exodus.
