Our initial apprehensions about our first overseas trip post pandemic were put to rest by the excellent arrangements including day planning and lodging starting from receiving us at the airport. Destination Services Costa Rica is a smaller company and I couldn't find out allot about them, but their Exotic Costa Rica tour lined up better with what we were hoping to see on our visit. Communication was not direct, so I didn't always feel we were on the same page. In the end, EVERYTHING was line up in a wonderful manner .....accomdations; tours; and transfers! Transfers were not only on time.... they were there early. All accommodations were in nice condition overall, and staff were very accommodating. You will not have a tour leader or guide that stays with you through the trip. However, in all instances the hotels had all the information on what, where, and when for us. I would certainly travel through them again, and recommend you to consider Destination Services Costa Rica on your journey to Costa Rice!

My trip was wonderful -- I can't say enough good things about Mario and his team! I was travelling solo, and they worked with me to customize the itinerary to be exactly what I needed alongside a work trip I had right before. All of the guides and other staff members were very professional, kind, and prepared. Pickups were on time, and even mundane drives were filled with interesting information and good conversation.
Special shoutout to Alberto, who took me to Tortuguero and was so knowledgeable about wildlife (and whose keen eyes spotted some spider monkeys on the drive home, enabling us to stop and see them and some howler monkeys). A true highlight! But everyone was wonderful -- definitely recommend.
