My trip was wonderful -- I can't say enough good things about Mario and his team! I was travelling solo, and they worked with me to customize the itinerary to be exactly what I needed alongside a work trip I had right before. All of the guides and other staff members were very professional, kind, and prepared. Pickups were on time, and even mundane drives were filled with interesting information and good conversation.
Special shoutout to Alberto, who took me to Tortuguero and was so knowledgeable about wildlife (and whose keen eyes spotted some spider monkeys on the drive home, enabling us to stop and see them and some howler monkeys). A true highlight! But everyone was wonderful -- definitely recommend.

We loved the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Sarapiqui River tour! La Paz is beyond beautiful with orchids, hummingbirds, frogs, toucans, scarlet macaws, parrots, coatis, sloths, ocelots, margays, and a jaguar. The gardens and waterfalls are exquisite. A wonderful buffet lunch was included.
Our trip down the Sarapiqui River in a covered boat was so much fun! We saw two caimans, iguanas, Anhingas, swallows, butterflies, and five troops of Mantled Howler monkeys.
Oscar and Armando, our guide and driver were so kind and taught us so much. We stopped at a lovely coffee finca to see the beans ripening, a sopa (local restaurant) in the mountains to take in spectacular waterfall and hummingbird views, we watched whitewater rafters, and sampled fresh pineapple at a farmstand.
Oscar and Armando treated us like family and made our first day in Costa Rica amazing!

Just finished my Costa Rica Trip and had the best time ever!! If you are considering it DO IT!!!
I’ve been on many many group tours and this was by far the best I have done to date! The group leader - Elmer, honestly made the trip and just went above and beyond in every possible way to ensure we were having a good time! Will definitely be booking another Intro trip soon as it was the best two weeks ever!
Jungle and Island Expedition

Everything was booked ahead of time, we didn't have to worry about hotels, transportation, or food (as some in our party were vegetarian)! Mario answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about everything Costa Rica. While driving to our excursions, Mario went above and beyond by pointing out toucans that flew in front of us as well as stopping to observe the howler monkeys, buffalos, and pineapple crops. Mario also helped us customize our trip by adding an extra day to our tour. At the end of our trip, Mario gifted us some local coffee and key chains as well!We went to Costa Rica June 2021 and were very impressed with the country's covid regulations (we had to wear masks and wash our hands before entering any establishment) which made us feel very safe.Overall, we would recommend Greenway Tours to anyone and happily book with them in the future. Pura Vida.

I wanted to start by saying thank you so much for such a thorough, comprehensive plan for our stay in your lovely country. From the start of working with you, I felt as though everything was covered. Your itinerary to us was easy to read, easy to share, and filled with enough information to get us excited about the visit. Then, the pacing of the entire trip seemed to be a perfect fit for my family. I already foresee us returning to experience Costa Rica again, based solely on the trip you crafted for us. We are quite grateful.
Arenal Volcano Trip

This is an absolutely incredible tour -- our guide Jason was both very informative and very helpful. He explained the history of the Arenal volcano to us, we took a short hike a small part of the way up the mountain, and then went back down to look at wildlife in the rainforest. We saw spider monkeys, which Jason said are a pretty rare sight, and then a red curacao just walked out onto the trail in front of us! It was an incredible feeling to just be seeing all these animals spontaneously on a nature hike.
Speaking of hikes, it is important to be aware that this tour is somewhat physically demanding. There are no extreme parts, just some strenuous walking over very uneven ground, but I think the tour description could do a better job of emphasizing the challenge. At the same time, the tour is extremely convenient in terms of picking you up and dropping you off at your desired location, whether a hotel, hot springs, or somewhere else. Overall, I strongly recommend the Arenal Volcano trip to anyone who is into volcanoes and wildlife and plans to visit the Arenal area.
