Great experience! We saw wonderful parts of Japan, including Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, and Hiroshima. The hotels were wonderful! Our travel director was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My advice to Trafalgar is to reduce the number of visits to temples and shrines. Maybe allow more free time. Also, there were too many set Japanese meals with no options.

We had a great experience on this tour. Our guide, was a total star! He was knowledgeable, patient, organised, helpful and understanding. We learnt a great deal about Japanese history and customs. His guidance also enabled us to use the free time well - with information on how to use the public transport systems and find interesting extra activities.
We enjoyed the mixture of structured and free time. It was a good balance in a "full on" tour!
Using public transport does mean quite a lot of walking but it was worth it. So as well as seeing the main sites of towns, temples, castles. Journeys on the bullet train and local buses were all part to the experience of Japan.
Great tour to discover Japan. i have no hesitation in recommending it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Highlights of Japan trip as it basically picked up from my 2020 Japan tour which was cancelled half way through due to Covid. I liked the itinerary very much. Our tour guide Jose was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. I was not informed beforehand that this was a English and Spanish mixed language tour, Joses English was good but sometimes hard to understand. I also did not know that we would be having people added to our tour almost every day and some leaving almost every day. I enjoy tours more when you have a change to get to know who you are traveling with and with a mix of English and Spanish it felt like I was on my own and traveling with strangers.

I loved Japan seeing all there was to offer on our trip 🇯🇵. I didn’t like the 4 changes in our tour guides I feel you need to keep the same guides for the whole trip. I understand not all the people go to all the places but it would be nice to have the same group the whole way in the tour.

He provided excellent contextual overviews and made the experience for everyone fun and most enjoyable. He was great at getting everyone moving through the events without a lot of waiting on others... truly passionate about the tour stops and ensuring all had a great time.
The hotels and locations were convenient and generally quite good.
