I had a fantastic time on this 20+ day adventure. I met a lot of really great people and saw a whole lot in a short amount of time. I feel like I can say that I?ve visited these places and maybe didn?t get the full experience of the place, but I got really close. This tour was a welcome change from the fast paced touring of the big cities. We became familiar with the topography and vegetation as we hiked daily, also visiting towns known for wines and cheeses. The town of Chianciano provided a magnificent backdrop to our accomodation of Agriturismo La Pietriccia. We were awakened every morning to the rooster crowing. Stefano was an attentive and knowledgeable host. Plenty of food was served at the 4 course suppers. I feel this tour was necessary to complete my knowledge of the culture of Italy!

Krakow & Ljubljana sound familiar? Probably not. That's because the Vienna to Rome Trail is about blazing a new trail. But just to keep things interesting we sandwich the obscure between hotspots like Venice & Vienna. It doesn't get much better than 9 brimming days to explore a lot of Europe.
Discover Barletta starting with a visit to the medieval castle of the eleventh century, founded by the Normans and expanded by the Spanish in the sixteenth century.
Among the sculptures preserved in the castle, you can visit the bust of Emperor Frederick II Hohenstaufen of Swabia limestone, dating from the thirteenth century.
Next, visit a historic winery, called the "House of Poison", is the building now known as the "Winery of the Challenge".
It was here that was launched the challenge to a duel from 13 italian knights vs 13 French knights, fought in the countryside of the neighboring town of Trani.
After the winery, you will discover the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore of the twelfth century, the most important church in Barletta.
The cathedral is divided into two parts, the front is typically Romanesque architectural style of the twelfth century, while the final part is of Gothic architectural style of the fourteenth century.
The tour will end with a visit outside the palace of baroque architecture called "Della Marra" with paintings of the painter Giuseppe De Nittis and the visit of the bronze giant named Heraclius next to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre.

Next, take in the fantastic scenery while you ride up in a cable car in Grindelwald and explore the beautiful Lucern. later continued to Burglen and visited the chapel of the XVI century before reaching Milan in Italy. Next, you will discover the famous city of Pisa and take a little tourist train to the beautiful art complexes of Piazza Dei Miracoli and the well-known Leaning Tower. On your next stop you will reach the Italian Capital of Rome where you will visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the notorious Roman Coliseum among other highlights. Your adventure will continue with a walking tour of magnificent Florence through the historic center, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Plaza della Signoria. Your journey will end in Romantic Venice, where you will discover the marvelous St. Mark´s Square and the world-famous Murano Glass Factory.
The trip was fabulous -beautiful places , lovely hotel and friendly warm staff , excellent food wine and our leader Veriano was so kind engaging fun and made the trip even more enjoyable and our group was fabulous. Would go back tomorrow! Highly recommend it!
