Our guide takes you from your hotel/seaport to visit most visited places of istanbul. To go to visiting points we use public transport/taxi or walking.
We start our tour by Hippodrome , which at one time was the center of Byzantine social and recreational life. A few parts of this spectacular site remain, including the Obelisk of Thutmose III and Serpent Column.
Near the Hippodrome is the Blue Mosque, also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. Its exceptional architectural design features 1 main dome, 8 secondary domes, 6 minarets, and a vast number of blue tiles – hence the name.
And from here we go the Topkapi Palace, which dates back to 1459. It served as the primary residence of the Ottoman sultans for nearly 4 centuries. In 1924, the palace was officially declared a museum.
And you will take a break and enjoy a lunch of delicious Turkish dishes
Afternoon we continu on our tour with Hagia Sophia, which served both Christianity and Islam at different times in history. When it was first built in 537, it was an Eastern Orthodox church.
In 1453, coverted to an imperial mosque. Approximately 5 centuries later, Hagia Sophia was converted into a museum.
We finalize our tour with Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world, comprising 61 covered streets and more than 3,000 shops offering almost anything you might need. The bazaar is a part of the walled city and was built during the years 1455-1461.
At the end of the tour we drop you back to your hotel/seaport.
We were very satisfied with the arrangements made for our trip which we only booked very close to the proposed departure date. Accommodation was very good and the arrangements for transfer of luggage and ourselves between departure points for the walks worked without a hitch. App for walk was easy to use and accurate. Would use the same organisation again for future walks.

I really enjoyed our tour guide, Isaso. She was very friendly, helpful, informative of what our itinerary will be for each day, let us know when are our W.C. breaks were, how much time we have at each stop, present information of each place were were visiting, and very caring. Also, I like our driver, Domingo. Excellent driver so many curves and turns. I would have like to spend more time in the small towns such as Porto but due to the tight schedule, we did not have the time. I wish the bus had disability seats better accommodationsfor one elderly lady with cane/wheelchair and her daughter. Not fair that they had to walk further from the bus drop off area. Love all the hotels and hotel rooms. They were all very nice and clean. The breakfast in the hotels were delicious and had nice variety, too. I especially love the flamenco show and dinner in Madrid. The show was top notch and the dinner was one of the best I had. A very fun, long trip with sightseeing and long walks.

This is quite a challenging trek and the distances were slightly more than the trip notes. Plenty of steep ups and downs and poles definitely needed. Having said that the scenery is stunning and the trip balanced well. The hut accommodation is pretty comfortable and warm and more of a hostel really with outdoor loos. The huts also provide crocs so no real need to carry spare footwear if you want to save weight and space in your day rucksack.

This is a relaxed tour with ample time at all major cities. All fellow passengers were very good. Ms. Jenifer Riga local guide was very very good. Hotel in Vilnius was very good. All the hotels were in good location and near city center.
This is not a usual tour but like a hop on hop off tour.. people joined and left our group at nearly every point along the way. We had six different tour guides not including the local tour guides. The tour was mostly Spanish speaking and the guides said everything in both English and Spanish which became annoying for both English speaking and Spanish speaking passengers.. Every optional outing was cancelled and the moulin rouge outing was booked for the 11pm show which didn’t finish til after 1am and had to be back on the bus at 7.30am.. there were children and babies on the tour which some might not like. The only time it bothered me was when the teething baby’s dirty diapers were put in the bin on the bus stinking out the back of the bus. One of the buses we were on for the uk leg of our trip was obviously designed to carry small children. The seats were tiny and the seat in front of you pushed on your knees and if the person in front reclined their seat it was only inches from your face. I couldn’t even look at my iPad as it wouldn’t fit between me and the seat in front and the air conditioner was not working on the first day.. I have never considered leaving a tour half way through before but I actually looked up renting a car to continue the tour myself.. we were taken to some places after close time like the tower of London when it would have made more sense to do the bus tour of the sites that evening and take us to the tower when it was open.. I did enjoy the tour as it was my first time in Europe and most of our guides were great but I would never book a Europamundo tour again
