Good introductory cross-section in major cities. Good balance of scheduled vs. free time. Would like a little more emphasis on art--especially Uffizi Gallery and Pisan Camposanto--plus entry into St. Mark's/Doge's Palace and Duomo church (rather than some of the shopping stuff). A little too much commercial, too little history/art. (Some of guides under-informed, including one who said Galileo discovered the "two planets" around Jupiter!).
Set off on a six-day Premium hiking adventure through Madeira’s dramatic coastlines, volcanic landscapes and lush forests. Hike the 25 Fontes trail and visit Risco Waterfall, relax in natural volcanic rock pools at Porto Moniz, take in the sweeping ocean views on your hike to Vereda da Ponta de Sao Lourenco and hike to the highest point on the island on the Vereda do Pico do Ruivo. Along the way, visit small mountain villages, learn about the region’s local culture and indulge in Madeira’s most famous local produce, wine and rum. With its mild climate and diverse terrain, Madeira offers the perfect escape and hiking destination all year round.

My wife and I eally enjoyed the Historic trip across 5 countries. Our Europamundo guide from Bulgaria to Dubravnik, Ms Bilyana Shirokanska was a very caring guide. She made sure the oldest and the only English speaking couple were looked after well, that we undeestood everything and did not get lost.

We are very satisfied with all aspects of our trip. The guides, the driver, the hotels, the sites visited. Unfortunately we had to end it prematurely because of a medical emergency. Would love to have the opportunity to complete the last leg of the trip from Seville to Zaragoza with the grand finale in Barcelona

The island's breathtaking landscapes and diverse walking trails make it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and hikers. Each day was a new adventure, with outstanding walks that showcased Madeira's natural beauty, from lush forests to stunning coastal views. The itinerary allowed us to experience all that Madeira had to offer from off the beaten tracks to Funchal city.
What truly made this trip exceptional was our tour leader, Benny. He was fantastic at bringing our group together, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that enhanced the entire experience. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the island were infectious, and he always made sure everyone was having a great time.
The weather was perfect throughout our stay, which only added to the enjoyment of exploring the island. Whether you're an avid hiker or just looking for a unique getaway, I wholeheartedly recommend a holiday in Madeira. It's an experience you won't forget!
